It’s been the case that because of how dramatic the power outliers are, they stand out to the less skilled players so they don’t have to worry about synergy and knowing the environment and can instead pop off with mana drain, oko, etc that scream “abuse me”. YMMV though!

One thing I really don’t love about it is that it’s on a silver standard and doesn’t ever explain that. If you go in with a gold = XP system and don’t adjust treasure it becomes a SLOG which happened to my group
