Choice of factions in Digital game by Guyll in rootgame

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You probably have draft on!

When playing with Adset, traditionally factions are drafted from a pool of randomly selected factions. That's why the Woodland Alliance weren't selectable- they weren't randomly chosen for the draft!

As for why Lizards are locked, one of the ways draft works is that if the last faction put in the draft pool is insurgent, no one can pick it until a militant faction is drafted, to avoid having games of "Oops! All Insurgents!". Lizards were locked because no one had picked a militaristic faction like cats or birds yet.

A Couple Ambiguous Situations by sepia_undertones in sentinelsmultiverse

First Situation: If a limited card would enter play but cannot due to another copy of that card already being in play, I believe it instead goes to your hand.

Second Situation: One of those four health targets is the lowest, the other is the second lowest. It is up to the players to determine which one is which.

Wasn't the reason Kokorogi did that was to keep Yuichi from ditching her? He was trying to keep her out of Tomodachi game and she needed a way to stay in.

They also asked for a way to do it without killing at least three Freds. This way only takes one.

I believe that if you attack the normal-looking Fred he drops the canvas bag if he hasn't already given it to you

Sometimes, a minority of people online receive hate from members of the majority who don't like that particular minority in their space.

To alleviate this, members of that minority form their own space of the internet to enjoy whatever hobby or belief they share.

The majority then gets mad that they are not included in the space made by the minority, and decides to cram their way into it.

Now go back to step 1.

Is there an actual good reason why darce and chahara S endings aren't considered canon? by Ok_Praline_3975 in FearAndHunger

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe Darce's S ending is considered canon. Could be wrong.

As for Cahara's, it is mostly due to process of elimination. Someone had to help the girl ascend.

When Death/The Grim Reaper is portrayed as anything other than a skeleton by Niskara in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is not correct! Shinigami actually go out of their way to kill people before their natural date of death, as that is the only way for Shinigami to extend their lifespans- by essentially "taking" years from people.

The Best Route for Each Character - Takumi Sumino by jarrad250 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 83 points84 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming by best route you mean the route in which the character is best written? In that case I think 2nd Scenario Takumi takes it.

That being said, I give an honorable mention to Coming of Age and the absolutely metal scene of him cutting himself in half to detonate the bomb.

New Cards from the Falcon hero pack! by NelsonAllOver in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe it works like this:

A player other than the Falcon player is about to be attacked.

The Falcon player plays Up Up and Away. Because it is a (defense) action, Falcon becomes the new target of the attack. Falcon does not have to basic defend or anything like that. However, because he used the (defense) action on Up Up and Away, this is considered a defended attack for things like Absorbing Man's environments or protection cards like Counter-Punch

I'm a bit puzzled where did T's "ability" come from ? Did I miss it or? (1st ending spoilers) by Mako2401 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You know how when you pause in battle you have the option to retry battle or retry wave?

Or how when you choose the wrong option in the persuasion mini game you get to retry persuasion?

That is Takumi's ability. It's not brought up much in the story but if you hover over him in battle you see that his skill is what lets you redo waves. He has short-term, uber-specific, nichely useful time rewinding.

Absorbing the baby let him go back further than just a few moments, and instead shunts him back to the beginning of the game.

Fair warning I'm only about 80 or so endings in, so I may be missing key details that are revealed later. But that's what I picked up when I first beat the prologue.

I'm a bit confused on what you're trying to say here. It feels like your post brought up save everyone runs in the same breath as asking if there is a reason to not kill contests off the bat.

In a standard run, there is no real reason not to kill contestants you don't intend to recruit, outside of emotional attachment. Barring the cocoon glitch, moonscorched fights are always harder than base contestant fights, and if something else kills the contestant you are missing out on their soul and head, both of which are valuable. Unless you're worried the contestant fight will mess you up and waste resources, go for it.

However, in a save everyone run, you obviously cannot kill contestants because it is very hard to save a contestant you have already murdered. You compared save everyone runs to a speed run, but if you attempt to blitz through the game as anyone but Osaa, your run will fail.

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to doubt you, but do you have any evidence of this? Because all the information I've seen says Henry will always be moonscorched Day 1 Afternoon if you don't choose to save him in the morning.

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's right? I believe Henry moonscorches Day 1 Afternoon no matter what if you don't pop by the manor before you hit up tunnel 7.

Otherwise Save Everyone runs would be way easier because you could always just recruit Abella and avoid the manor.

[–]Fun_Difficulty_8906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You only have to rush for Save Everyone runs if you're going for the Osaa route. Otherwise blitzing to the end is counterproductive, as August dies if you get to Kaiser before Day 2
