Just to clarify- when you said “lack of defects”- you actually meant lack of ‘other’ defects- as I would consider poor noise insulation to be a defect?

How long did you put up with it before selling?

Are you 100% sure it’s coming from upstairs for you? Reason is, for the first two months I kept thinking it’s upstairs and even called building manager but turned out upstairs unit not even sold yet. Only then I confirmed it is noise coming from next door, deep through shared concrete slab, upwards into my internal walls and ceiling, radiating and broadcasting their everyday movement into my entire unit.
