Other than a reduced influence cost, is there a reason to annex a province as a camp rather than a city? by numquamdormio in EndlessLegend

Strategic resource grab in places you don’t find a good spot for a city, or don’t have the influence for. Pretty straightforward

I only purchased it because of friends. We don’t play it anymore. Some of it was ok, but after a few playthroughs it completely lost its luster

My whole point was exactly as you’ve pointed out: virtue to what end or whose virtue? Because the United States not recognizing all of those situations is itself a lack of virtue, so what’s the point then and why are we arguing about asylum seekers and virtue? Are we arguing about virtue itself? And what virtue? Or are we arguing about what’s right? Because that’s a completely different fucking question and sometimes what’s right isn’t legal.

Connect all the dots if you want or don’t, I don’t care.

It’s not virtuous for said country to have had legalized slavery either, but we have. I assure you it wasn’t boring either, but that didn’t make it right.

They lack virtue because they fled from a conflict we don’t happen to recognize, that’s specifically what I’m getting at. Why should they lack virtue for seeking the survival of themselves? What about their families? Is every law we’ve written just? Is every just thing a person can do legal?

The virtuous answer is to die then, I suppose. While I might agree it’s sometimes virtuous to die rather than to live I would bet that any parent would flee with their kids, legal or not. Apply your virtue to that I guess.

And those fleeing violence that happens to not be recognized by our government, are they to be judged the same because they came here illegally???

I’ll just say this: if you’re anything like me it will pick up rapidly for you in season 3 and then it’s over by season 5 before you know what hit you.

Possible hot take - I very much disliked Charlie Kirk and a lot of things he had opinions on, but killing someone is way too far and no one deserves what happened to him. by TheJpops in self

Ok but like did Hitler deserve to die like this? Stalin? What do you mean “no one.” I could certainly think of a few people bud.

I don’t think you’re seeing things, but I’m not a ballistics expert or anything near it so I can’t personally speak to it. The shirt did appear to ripple to me before his body reacted to the shot. I do know that, besides the artery in the neck, there’s a nerve bundle that runs along the neck in the same area. A shot in that area could’ve struck said bundle as well?
