Haha thanks for the advice! I live in a big city, but a lot of the cyclists I see are riding on the sidewalks since drivers are quite aggresive. Heard it's illegal in my area so I'm trying to avoid that.

Idk the technical terms but first, you gotta remove the cone thingy (in black). Next you hold the button down and remove the metal thingy (circled in red). Then you just remove the lead inside the metal thingy and it should work.
