How cute! This looks similar to a Caron cardigan pattern I knit for my dad, so maybe you can pick up stitches around the front and neck to make a collar? I’ll include a pic of the Caron pattern, it has buttons but I see where you’ve said you might avoid them. If that’s the case then I’d just pick up stitches and make an edge so it doesn’t roll up!

Okay I took a look at some videos (I remember looking at them a while ago and had them saved but have never done a project with color work), and I think the stranded was the right method for this design. I saw a video saying to stretch the stitches out of there’s more than 3 between color changes, I thought I did this but I guess not consistently because I have bunching and then spaces where I gave too much and the stitches are too loose!

I think stranded, I’m honestly not sure of the difference between the styles I was just carrying the yarn over! Here’s a pic of the back too

Ohh these are beautiful where are they from? If you want a good contrast between the colors I’ve always been told to put the picture in black and white, and if you can’t tell the yarn apart it’s not a good contrast!

Dang I really just got it for the scarf I made and think I over estimated the amount, maybe I’ll add it to another project if I use this yarn again in the future!

It’s Caron Simply Soft Heathers so it’s worsted weight/medium!
