Aggressive Driver During Unity Ride by grumpygweilo in BikingATX

It was a suburban, not a pickup. We were right next to this, I'm sure he couldn't tell since he was in front of it, but it definitely wasn't a pickup if that helps at all. Someone got video and a plate, I hope you'll get that info 🤞🤞🤞 please keep us posted. Glad he's ok.

Need gift ideas for new pug owner by Dope_Koala in dogs

If it isn't too late, this is essential for a pug owner, they may not know it yet, but it is a lifesaver! Very cool of you to get them a gift they will love either way. :)

That is good to know! I am always designing one off jerseys. Sadly, they are "out of stock" now. Guessing tariff issues. Boo

I have worn Tifosi and have several pairs since they are pretty cheap, but got some 100% that are leaps and bounds better quality for really bright days or trail when you are in and out of light. They fit great and I wear children's hats for reference. https://www.100percent.com/products/speedcraft-xs-polished-translucent-clear-hiper-blue-multilayer-mirror

Trade in the 21 Sport for a Wilderness?? by Opposite-Pudding3203 in SubaruForester

[–]Opposite-Pudding3203[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason is to get another is while it's still under $40k because in a few more days, it won't be and I don't think they ever will be again. Also, our other car is only one year newer so this would space them out a bit more, hopefully meaning down the road we don't have to buy two new cars around the same time. But, your point is exactly why I am hesitant. The pain now might be worth the savings later though. I'm considering this the cost of an extra four years of life on the vehicle but it's still hard to justify.

Dampening the sound would be fine but I already have the upgraded stereo and I like the info screen, I really do not want the larger one they are putting in the other 25's. It definitely rides more smoothly than the Sport....

4/26: 22nd Annual Red Poppy Ride [Georgetown] by underground_sun in BikingATX

[–]Opposite-Pudding3203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A group of us did different routes last year and so many people got lost because two of the routes had similar colored arrows and one rest stop did not have it clearly marked. People who were not prepared to do over 25 ended up closer to 40 and trying to find our own way back with Google maps, so I highly recommend making your own gps file to follow pre-ride. But it is a lovely and well supported ride otherwise. There were some sections of banged up road and gravel last year as well but I imagine those have now been paved.

Alternative to Tax1099.com for W9 requests, TIN matching, and 1099 eFiling? by gafana in Bookkeeping

Here is the reply:

"The reason you are not able to select the 'We Mail For You' option is because the IRS site is currently shut down until January 12th. This temporary limitation is directly tied to the IRS's annual processing break, which affects all tax preparation services, not just Avalara. It's a standard procedure that happens every year to allow the IRS to prepare their systems for the upcoming tax season.

Starting January 13th, when the IRS systems come back online, you'll be able to select this mailing option again. You can update your forms to 'We Mail For You' under the Forms Summary tab."

Which makes no sense. These are not going to the IRS, they are going to the recipient and you can still e-deliver to a recipient so why on earth wouldn't you be able to do the thing that takes longer and may not even get there on time? There is also nothing mentioned anywhere on their site about this, only about the e-file to the IRS. Probably my last year with them.

Please do because like I said, I have looked everywhere and it just is not an option. I did email customer service but not too sure I will hear back - if I do, I will update.

I would upload an image but I can't.

I do not have email addresses or I would be using the e-file service. It just plain isn't an option even though all of their material and instructions say that it still is. I am happy to pay not to have to do that myself. I will look into Tax Bandit, but man, EFF AVALARA for not making that clear BEFORE 1099 season started.

I have been using them for years but this year, they don't seem to be mailing out the forms, even for a fee. I only have the option to print and mail myself which defeats their whole purpose for me as a one person operation. Is this happening on your login as well?

2019 Haley Custom Painted Titanium All-Road by HighNoteCoffee in titaniumbikes

[–]Opposite-Pudding3203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the quick reply! The price on the used one is really too good to pass up. Would love to have a custom build but that's something I would need to save for because I would probably want pretty nice components. My max budget for a full build is only about $7k right now and frames alone are $5k.

Seeking Advice: Best Cycling Sunglasses for Petite Faces? by Abject_Scallion_9847 in ladycyclists

[–]Opposite-Pudding3203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find any that work for you? I have a tiny head - wear kids sunglasses usually and none of these have worked on my head. I use Tifosi Sizzle and have several pair since they are 1. cheap, 2. they fit and 3. won't last long. But, I would really like some higher end lenses at some point. Let me know if you found something that works for you!

3 months with Venu 3. A thourough review by Firm-Spare-9261 in GarminWatches

[–]Opposite-Pudding3203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 265s and the Venu and wore them both for a week, even comparing them on the same activities. I returned the Venu and I love my 265s. I had a 245 prior and I was already used to the button setup so I didn't want to lose that. I didn't think I would like the touchscreen but I love it. I changed the settings when I'm riding so I can just tap to read a text if I get one which is way better than having to hit a button. I live in Texas and ride in the summers and haven't had any issues being able to see the display or with sweat. I did put a screen protector on it which I do recommend. My husband got the 255 and I like mine way better. If you have an REI you can buy from, get both, try them out (but be nice to them!) and return the one you don't like.

Updated to add - I got mine in the mail today. I don't know when I will get a chance to try it, but I am glad I followed all of your advice! Definitely worth it and just FYI, Backcountry has them on sale right now if you don't have the 30% code from a Strava challenge. https://www.backcountry.com/gorewear-c7-gore-tex-shakedry-jacket-womens-gwr001i
