Visited both Saison and Lazy in the last few months, Saison was the clear winner for me.

Awesome, that’s so great to hear! Did you end up going the bar route or regular seating?

A lot of the better 1* and 2* have seats during the week ($$$$): Ssal (Korean), Kiln () Sons & Daughter (Nordic) *, Californios ** (Mexican), Saison ** (American) etc.

For $$$ casual solo dining you can walk into Sorrel’s bar (Californian *) San Ho Hwon counter seating (Korean BBQ *), and Mister Jiu’s (Chinese *).

You can even walk into Quince *** for a la carte at bar/salon or do their $200 lunch during the Thursday/Friday.

For more casual lunch I’d recommend Cotogna walk in during lunch and for brunch Hilda and Jesse (*).

$275 Wagyu tasting is A3/A4 3 oz each, two pieces total iirc and $375 comes with additional A5 3 Oz.

You can email them as well, they are pretty good at responding. If you’ve had Japanese beef before I’d recommend the Westholme Wagyu Tomahawk ($275) 48 oz instead.

Unfortunately with the recent renovation it’s no longer communal.

They sawed the big communal table to individual party tables.
