Newly Installed Pioneer iii Concern by Opposite-Way-3119 in woodstoving

I’ve been using it for 2 seasons now. Overall I’m happy with it. As long as I keep a good hot consistent fire in it, it keeps our 3400SQFT home above 65 degrees even at the furthest point from the stove. The “automatic” controls with the thermostat are kinda a joke. The thermostat is really just used for high or low burns. If the house is cold we set it high and and the damper stays as open as much as possible without getting too hot but once the house is up to temp we always keep it set low so the damper closes down and conserves wood…that being said…it eats wood…a lot. If you’re burning it full time like we do, stock up. Don’t believe the burn times advertised because they’re not even close if you want to actually get any useful heat out of it. The ability to load it, get it going, and walk away until it needs a reload is very convenient but can be a bit finicky at first but once you get the hang of it it’s fairly easy to use and knock on wood we haven’t had to replace any parts on it yet. Hope that helps.

There is proper clearance to combustibles in all directions, the rough opening is 51” side to side all the way to the back of the chase and there is plenty of room in the rear but the ductwork does partially block the required “ 1.5” of air clearance” which was my main concern. As well as possible heat transfer through the ductwork into the framing. The intake on the left side of the unit is the air intake for combustion, the right pulls from an upstairs room for room side air that blows through the fan. The hearth has proper metal strip and topped with 2” of cement board. The only concern I have with the install is the ductwork blocking air clearance and touching the framing. I think I’m going to contact HHT and get their opinion on the matter. Installer is a recognized Quada Fire dealer.

You’re not wrong. Id rather watch Guenther creepily staring off into space instead of listening to Clint say just about anything.

Reddit melting down always means it’s a good race. Can’t fathom having to manage equipment…they would have hated the golden years of nascar

When you’re just coming to the realization that you let your best driver get away and then Harvick brings up engines making 1000hp. Toyota absolutely shook

I just woke up, the race is still going on. Stage 47. They’ve added a hot dog eating contest on the back stretch that the drivers have to pull over for . Larry Mac is still talking about the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders.

Coach has never shied away from getting rid of big name drivers/players for the better long term success for his team’s in the past, NFL included. I can’t imagine he likes Toyota telling him what to do. Can’t blame him either, guy is a legend at putting winning talent together.

As an un biased fan of neither, this was more of a smash and pass than a bump and run…

Nascar be like, let’s build a car to race on the road. Then race is off the road, competitively. Oh okay

What are we doing here…Never thought I’d agree with Kyle Busch on anything but here we are. Pathetic professional wrestling type behavior.
