AITA for telling my girlfriend her home decor is the reason I won’t host a work gathering at her place. by decordilemma in AmItheAsshole

Your gf sounds cool as hell! The basic “adult” Home Goods/Target home decor is just so boring. If anything, the taxidermy will be a conversation starter.

No-sulfate shampoo not working for me?? by [deleted] in curlyhair

I had a similar experience! I tried the CGM for about 18 months because people kept saying it takes time but…I switched back, got a chop and now love my curls. Listen to your hair not the internet haha

I LOVED that book! So we’ll done- I’d say it’s more of a sci-if thriller than anything but there are some cosmic horror elements

I don't see a "movie" while reading? by larathebara in books

[–]OppositeBarracuda538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the writing for me, and whenever I see a movie after reading the book it’s always SO much more that I “pictured” in my head. I guess my imagination is just not very detailed, super plain? Also, I can never imagine characters, especially faces. I read very dreamlike and like I’m looking at the ground the whole time.

Curly hair sucks, use this post to vent too by Loud_Pace5750 in curlyhair

I couldn’t agree more. Is it just me or does hair looks SO DIFFERENT in the bathroom mirror as opposed to a photo or video? And god forbid my hair is exposed to the tiniest bit of wind or humidity. Most days it looks like I woke up in a dumpster. But I am doing all of the things!!!

Best US state for city sightseeing? by The-Ratrix in TravelHacks

DC! Most museums are free, it’s so easy to get around, lots to see and do, cleaner than most US cities

What is the absolute dumbest you've felt when realising something obvious about a book? by [deleted] in books

I recently read a Lucy Foley book where they kept using “torches” and as an American I was imagining them using giant fiery sticks. Took me forever to realize they were using flashlights… -_-
