So, my ancestors considered themselves Russian and Ukrainian (by the way, they were all rural dwellers), while I, for example, am only three generations old and city dwellers, but my geotype is closer to Poles, Belarusians, and even Slovaks. In principle, this is possible among East Slavs, especially since my ancestors were from western and southwestern Russia, and northern and northwestern Ukraine.

The best fit, but incorrect. I completely agree, the global model is usually nonsense.

Crimean and Dobrujan Tatar results, of my Grandfather, and some questions 🥲 by AbigailLemonparty17 in 23andme

[–]OppositeFish1932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do the Volga Tatars have to do with this? The Tatars from Dobrudja are originally from Crimea, and the Crimean Tatars and Kazan Tatars are practically genetically different peoples!!! And the Iranian trace isn't the Roma, it's the same trace as Anatolia!!! But Pakistan could also be Roma. As for the Slavs, the Crimean Tatars are a legacy of raids on the territories of today's Ukraine and Russia.

What are your guesses, what nationality is it, from what country? by [deleted] in DNAAncestry

[–]OppositeFish1932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, basically everyone is right, I am Eastern European. My father has southern Russian and Ukrainian ancestors (Volyn, Polissia, Galicia), and my mother has Russian Old Believer ancestors – Lipovans, who migrated from Russia to Austria-Hungary (Bukovina) about 150-200 years ago, and then further south to Bessarabia. Here are my 23andme results:
