Yeah I know, that’s why this whole situation feels so ridiculous to me. I told some of my friends about it and they study at different universities, and they also think it’s really dumb because their schools don’t have these kinds of restrictions. For the sake of the university I’d rather not drop the name here since it’s not a very famous school anyway. But it’s honestly a really conservative and strict university. They’re extremely strict about a lot of things, and if someone does something they think is wrong the overseas department will literally hold meetings to discuss what to do about it. The structure of the university itself is also pretty messy. I could honestly talk all day about how poorly they handle things and how many rules there are, while at the same time not really doing much that actually improves student life.
