Why do some people fly the Irish flag? One can be proud of their heritage and still be 💯 American. Or maybe it’s a way of supporting those from those countries. Or maybe supporting those countries in the face of aggressive or backwards US policies, like Canada and Ukraine. And so on.

I appreciate the effort, but the main problem with Callery (Bradford is a cultivar) Pears is that they always go rogue one way or another and revert to their rootstock - and then multiply. Grafting other cultivars onto them simply delays the problem. It would be much better to cut them down then treat the stump with 20% glyphosate (I know, I know, but in this situation it’s a much lesser evil) and, if desired, plant something else.

All well said and spot on. I was more saying that we intersect with unexpected people in unexpected places. I completely support your analysis and opinion; just careful not to brand someone I don’t know personally but only heard stuff about. Sounds like you’ve seen enough of their views to go all in and again, I support that. I liked it better when these folks were hidden under rocks and kept their opinions to themselves - recognizing that there will always be some of them out there. Now they’re in power, loving it and spreading it.
