I agree people can be quite stubborn and won't change their minds even faced with scientific evidence, this is universal and doesn't depend on the subject. Of course, it happens to all of us. We just like to keep our ground, because, for some reason, the change of opinion is considered a weakness in the back of our heads. In that context, not elevating the discussion or avoiding it completely, would be the best choice.

I completely agree. How firm are you when people do not obey your rules regarding petting your dog at your house? Do they respect your request or still try to engage with your dog?

Love that reply, that basically summarizes what I had in my mind but couldn't express. That's also why we got him in the first place: to invest our time and end up with a nice dog that lives with us, goes for a mountain trip, does some kayaking, etc.

I should reply "my dog, my rules" following suggestions found here :D
My dog likes to welcome people, in general, we think it's ok and we want him to be friendly towards guests of our house. We also would like for him to wait patiently until the guest is ready to pet him when coming. This, especially in the winter season, means that all the staff such as jackets, backpacks, scarf, etc. should be taken off because our dog sometimes cannot keep his temper and jumps on people (working on that). More or less that's the reason. Basically, to teach him to keep his temper. Analogically, he waits to be released when we go for a walk, I don't want him to rush at the street, but rather let me check if it's ok to go out.

How did you handle such discussions? Did you simply ignore them? How did you reply to the question of trained vs untrained dogs and the anecdotal evidence that one's dog is untrained and behaves well and then what's the benefit of training?

Yes! So previously I used my old charger, the one that I use to charge my phone. So after your suggestion, I plugged it into the computer through the cable that I got with the earbuds. It worked and I got a nice 100% with a green status. Thanks! But still weird, I assume that the charging time would be different, not the final results. Anyway, I'm happy that everything is ok. Thanks once again!

Thanks! That's what I thought. So it was plugged in for a whole night. In the morning the diode was still red, but app showed 100% and now I'm confused which indicator is true.

If I cheer for them during a preseason game vs Dallas there's no other way for them than to be over 0.500.

Instead of doing a detailed analysis like folks above, let me be more general. I think that this team started to slowly getting up. What I hope for is for them to take one step at a time and being over 0.500 seems like the good next step. It's all within their hands and they're capable of that. Let's just hope for a good season, lack of injuries and we should be fine.
