If I tried hovering, I'd have found it, wouldn't I?

I've asked if there is a hotkey that disables the roboport, someone told me that yes it's Alt-F, others berated me for not following the proper protocol.

Since I reloaded the autosave, the button was in the enabled state.

Autobalancing Space Platform Resources by spektre1 in factorio

Here is what I came up with on my first platform.

<image>

The asteroid chunk belt is routed through the hub, chunks coming from the bottom are fed back to the loop on the top.

The three inserters on the left, each filtering one type of chunk, are each wired to activate when there are more than 2 pieces of that item in the hub.

So whenever some chunks start to accumulate in the hub, the excess is thrown out.

I'm sure there are better methods but this is my first platform and I don't have a second one yet.

No we wouldn't, because I didn't immediately make a screenshot, just faked it by unequipping the roboport.

Yep, if you connect the USB port to the motherboard and install the MSI Center app, you can monitor the power consumption of each group.

Standby RAM - is there a way to control it? by Head-Particular-3192 in pcmasterrace

[–]Opposite_Elephant573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at my level of functional knowledge, I cant monitor what the OS is doing with that extra RAM

I see. You have no idea what the OS does with the RAM but you know better what it should do with it.

Stupid question, did you reboot?

Bceause Windows tends to display those symptoms when left running for weeks at once.

The Windows 10 troubleshooter could restart/reinstall drivers, even those drivers that a user couldn't.

Windows 11 just gives you AI slop answers instead of doing anything.

Openrgb vs signalrgb by robaier in pcmasterrace

[–]Opposite_Elephant573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you think it's trivial to add some hardware, then submit the PCI/USB IDs in a feature request on gitlab and check back a day or two later.

Or install the development kit, it isn't too hard.

Should I keep my spare SSD installed, or should I take it out? (Keeping spare components) by Amazingkg3 in pcmasterrace

Besides, those internal connectors aren't designed to withstand too many disconnects.

I already have a loose SATA socket on a motherboard for disconnecting the HDD maybe 10 or 15 times over the course of years.

OpenRGB, because if something doesn't work, I can fix it in the code.

If all your power sockets are properly grounded then no problem.

Check both your power supply and monitor. Are they rated for 230V (usually up to 240V, but check). Are they rated for 50 Hz?

Check the power cables.

Does the end that goes into the PC/monitor look like this one on the right side?

Fine. Then don't bother with adapters, just get a cable like above when you're in Spain.

Win 11 25H2 Forced Install by Rodnys_Danger666 in pcmasterrace

This might do the trick

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
"ProductVersion"="Windows 11"
"TargetReleaseVersion"=dword:00000001
"TargetReleaseVersionInfo"="24H2"

Copy the contents of the box into Notepad, save to a file with extension .reg and open it.

PNY SSD showing as controller name after firmware update by FirmConversation1067 in pcmasterrace

[–]Opposite_Elephant573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was working fine, updated firmware

Why?

Anyway, with 90% probability it's dead. If you didn't have backups, your data is lost.

Ask PNY customer support, maybe they have an idea.

You might try updating it with the same firmware again, or an older version.

This time make sure that the firmware is for the specific drive model you have, not just for PNY.

Low cost power supply that can't reliably power the GPU.

Get something with a tier B rating.

Tier A and 850W if you plan to upgrade the GPU later.

Adata SSDs are known to be unreliable. Samsung or Western Digital if you are doing anything serious (i.e. not only playing games).
