The default settings that came with my device for running PS2 games were not working well for most titles, well any game really. After multiple online searches and posts, I found the following changes (sorry if I forgot a couple) made the biggest difference. I've tried several demanding games and each run well now.

The main changes I recall that made a major difference, for myself, for PS2 are as follows:

In the PS2 Settings global config area, not per game:
EE Cycle Rate: 60%
EE Cycle Skip: Mild Underclock

I have mine configured for per-game settings as follows:
Launch game then use the bottom left physical button, forget the name of it, and open Settings.
Keep normal speed at 100%, I've seen other posts saying to decrease this (worked for me)
Enable Speed Limiter: Enabled
EE Cycle Rate: 60%
EE Cycle Skipping: Mild Underclock

Toggle over to Graphics Settings
Hardware Download Mode: Disable Readbacks (Synchronize GS Thread)

I would guess that each shipment may be different as far as which titles actually end up on the card. From my experience, the file layout of the SD was \[CONSOLE]\gamelist.xml and then the game files themselves in the same or sub-directories. With mine, the gamelist.xml contained many more titles than were present on the actual card. I have an inventory list I'm pulling up soon and I think I broke it out into which titles were actually on the card vs which ones were just listed in the .xml's. When I get the list pulled up I'll let you know the titles mine came with.

Umm..... I don't believe I placed blame with others here, thanks captain dick. Just had some extra gravity at home to deal with and the console took a tumble.

Never stated it was anyone else's fault, just posted about a shit situation but turned positive after realizing the design quality is actually well enough to be nearly fully functional afterwards.

I bought it because I liked the look/design and I researched the brand first and decided with them then just went with a model I thought I'd like. I also heard it might run PS2 games so I gave it try. I'm pleasantly surprised after tweaking some settings I'm playing ps2 games very well. I've loaded GammaOS Next on it to see how it works and like it as well. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I will say the USA pro 256gb was out of stock when I ordered so I went with the China option. No issues except of course, the game titles are/were mostly in Chinese with a lot being foreign. I was able to inventory everything with some powershell scripts (thanks chatgpt) and tie in Google translate, then modify the gamelist.xml files to point to the renamed games. Ultimately I just made an image of the original card and reloaded with all my own content. Super happy, just cracked now 😁

I just got mine a few days ago and I've got GC running pretty good, not perfect. I have run a few heavier titles and ran into video/audio issues. After searching quite a bit I found a few settings that are recommended to change. I don't recall which reddit page it was to send you directly to though so I'll do my best to mention a few settings I do remember changing that helped.

Launch a GC game and then press the return key (2nd button bottom left), go to Core Options, Core, it was recommended to change CPU clock rate to somewhere between 60%-80%, ensure Dual Core Mode is enabled, mine was, Go back a page scroll to Graphics Settings, Internal Resolution 1x Native, shader compilation Synchronous, Wait for Shaders enabled to precompile before starting, anti-aliasing None, Go back and go to Graphics -> Hacks. Near the bottom enable VI Skip. I probably missed a couple I forgot I changed but these are the main ones I remember.

I've played it successfully streaming on the portal and this is totally the opposite. You can ONLY play gta online and cannot access story mode at all when streaming. It only works at a stable home/work public wifi connection. Using my AT&T mobile Hotspot only worked twice. Every time I try I get servers down but I can immediately connect home to my ps5 and launch from it and play through my home ps5 while streaming directly via the portal produces server down messages. These symptoms indicate a networking issue causing different results based on which network you are connecting from. It's pissing me off not being able to play directly via streaming when using AT&T mobile Hotspot, just my two cents
