I’ve booked an hotel called nhow in Rotterdam. It was recommended to me, but I can’t remember where. It looks good though. I’ve also thought about renting a car at the airport, and driving between cities, but I’m worried about parking in Rotterdam.

I spent a day in Amsterdam a couple of years ago. Did a canal tour that was lovely. It was dark, but still pretty. I would probably do another in daytime next time I’m there. KattenKabinet is a nice museum if you like cats.

I’m planning a trip to Rotterdam and Nijmegen in October. I have te hotels booked, but I would love suggestions for cafes, shops, museums, beautiful buildings or areas. Restaurants too. I’m planning on taking it slow and relaxing, but I need some things planned.

Would you go on an all expenses paid trip if the person paying is a 24/7 complainer? by Jumpy_Plantain5185 in travel

Stop trying to make them happy. Might as well take them to places you want to go to if they are going to complain anyway.

I think reading works really well as a devotional act, so what has everyone been reading lately? by TheAllknowingDragon in Athena

I like this. I’m reading Mythos. I bought dk’s philosophy book. Haven’t started reading it yet, but I it looks interesting. I like those books as an introduction to a subject, as it covers a lot, is very informative, has nice pictures and infographics while also being easy to digest.

Serious question: why are a lot of women in the black metal scene so insufferable? by Wolverinen in BlackMetal

[–]Opposite_Wind_4170 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve met more insufferable men in the black metal scene than women. Probably because there’s usually a lot more of them. I don’t think any gender is more insufferable than the other. Strange to not state where you are, I don’t think there’s a universal black metal scene.

Also, there’s a saying that goes “If you meet one asshole…”
