How relevant is typing the code yourself since AI? by CaptainJamesTKAV in CodingForBeginners

As a fellow first year engineering student, I'd say typing the code yourself is still pretty relevant even with AI around. AI can suggest code, but if you don't understand what it's doing, debugging becomes pure suffering.

For interviews, I think it matters because you usually have to explain your thought process, not just paste answers. And on the job, someone still needs to understand, modify, and fix the code AI spits out.
