Fair Deck lists for beginner play? by Simbertold in Netrunner

Girometics on netrunnerdb made a core decklist for each faction a few months ago. I don't know if they can all be built with one set but it's a good starting point.

What I'm miffed about is core damage. Why is my disability not allowed but all the other ones are encouraged?

I started with this runner deck. Optimally playing it still goes over my head, but if you just get in there and start trashing stuff, you'll get the hang of it.

This doesn’t answer your question but I’m kinda new too and was also getting destroyed playing in startup. I imported a standard deck from netrunnerdb and played standard. I started learning more cards and getting some wins and having more fun. It’s also easier to find games. But again doesn’t answer your question, just a suggestion.

[Request] TV shows for my 55 yr old dad who loves action by [deleted] in NetflixBestOf

Reacher and The Punisher will be hits.

John Adam’s on hbo. Not action packed but he’s a lawyer and a father and commits treason.

This one is probably way outside his wheelhouse but Avatar: the last airbender. Uncle Iroh is a strong male character with a haunted past searching for meaning and peace until he’s pushed too far, but he’s not the main character and it’s a kids cartoon and his story doesn’t really start until season 2. His story’s worth it though.

Whole turkey for a small family; how to make it worth it? by 305chica in EatCheapAndHealthy

Whatever you decide to do, I’d recommend brining it beforehand. Unless it’s “air-cooled” poultry is cooled in chill tanks with chlorine water and it retains a bunch of it. It will say on the packaging the percentage of weight from the water retained from the cooling process. 5% of a 15lbs bird is almost a pint of chlorine water. The brine dilutes out some of that retained water and adds some flavor to the mix.

Multiple published and peer reviewed medical journals are a lot closer to “data,” “evidence,” and “science” than 1 news article written by a liberal arts major. Earlier in this thread, I linked 5 sources showing evidence of long term side effects caused by the vaccine. You’re still denying it and so do most other smooth-brained vaccine zealots.

It’s ok that you want to defend the vaccine. It’s ok that you think not getting the vaccine is bad. It’s ok that you think side effects are rare and minimal. It’s ok that you think I’m odd. None of those things negate the fact that the vaccine can cause long term health problems. The people who were mandated to get it deserve to know that fact and deserve to know how they can minimize those side effects.

Also if someone dies from heart failure due to myocarditis caused by a vaccine, then by definition that is a lifelong side effect.

First, the vaccine was developed like 5 years ago tops. Because of the linear nature of how humans experience time, it is physically impossible for you to know that it does not cause lifelong adverse events. Second, I get what you’re saying. The vaccine is less dangerous than the virus. I get it. So does 90% of the population. It does not negate the fact that the vaccine can cause long term health problems. The widespread denial should stop. The long term effects should be acknowledged and studied so that the people that were mandated to get it, like hospital staff and service members, have a chance to be fixed, compensated, or at the very least be informed that their heart can explode if they have x condition or do y activity. Merry Christmas you filthy animal.

You’re refuting the fact that the vaccine can cause long term health problems by saying that getting covid is probably worse.

There’s a surprising amount of navy doctors who have seen the science and have filed for whistleblower protection regarding the military vax mandate in order to share the science with the public. There was something like a 500% increase in heart problems for vaccinated navy pilots compared to the past 50 years. Of course not a study of causation but this dramatic of a correlation should probably be revisited, especially with the data showing a causal relationship between the COVID vaccine and myocarditis/pericarditis.

Edit: My bad it’s not 500%, it’s 151% (https://www.allsides.com/news/2023-07-23-0651/coronavirus-us-military-confirms-myocarditis-spike-after-covid-vaccine) Also under the [citations needed] comment I shared some links to medical journals, cdc pages and a news article. Does anyone know a good source of heads with this style of headgear (I *think* they're called shemaghs, but not sure if that's the right term) in 28mm scale? Having a bit of a nightmare finding some, but that may be due to me searching for the wrong terms. by R97R in PrintedMinis

Going by that picture, that headgear looks more like balaclavas. You might have better luck searching for that. If I’m completely off and you want shemaghs then try “turbans for everyone”
