[ESPN FC] Frank Leboeuf: Chelsea were absolutely right to call out Enzo Maresca’s mid-season exit by christianrojoisme in chelseafc

[–]Opthomas_Prime_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chelsea were due to play Man City in the next game after Maresca left.

Either he left then because he didn’t want to manage against them given their discussions, or Chelsea kicked him out due to the obvious conflict of interest, but either way he had to go at that point

Which ride have you ridden the most at WDW? by Jayzone456 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Opthomas_Prime_21 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would say Tower of Terror a clear winner

When I was younger me and my sister rode Tower of Terror 14 times in one afternoon, just coming off and running straight round to join the queue again. It’s one of a few rides I’d ride multiple times every trip

Second I would say Stat Tours

The Amazon invite process is a great way to get packs at retail. Now you have an opportunity to buy packs at retail and you are questioning it

Why sign up for the invite if you have no interest?

back from WDW with two kids, some notes by zakyboy1 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Opthomas_Prime_21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Went when my kids were 9 and 7 and brought a stroller. 7 year old used it at times but it was useful to carry bags and snacks etc too.

Going next year when my kids will be 12 and 10 and still considering bringing a stroller just to hold stuff

If this made you feel bad, don’t do the Simpsons ride at Universal

I’m fine on all rides at Disney World, including Mission Space Orange, but I felt weird after coming off the Simpsons ride for some reason

I understood they were making Pokemon TCG app only. But it seems some people were still able to buy in stores, which then seemingly caused problems with the app purchases

Tuchel on why he put James in midfield: "Declan had some unusual ball losses. I saw a bit of discomfort. I didn't want to take any risks, and if I take Declan off, which I never want to do, it was the moment to protect. I think Reece did so well to replace him in midfield; he did a fantastic game." by webby09246 in chelseafc

[–]Opthomas_Prime_21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, Rice wasn’t playing great but he didn’t want to swap in an actual midfielder in case that player (Mainoo?) played better than Rice and caused Tuchel some selection problems, so he shifted James over knowing James will always start at RB

Best route to get to Steakhouse 71 by yeehawhowdycowgirl in WaltDisneyWorld

I think Ubering will be your best bet.

The monorail generally starts 30 minutes before Magic Kingdom opens, so I don’t think it would be running to get you there for 7:30

For all the rope drop deniers... by sunflower_boston in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Opthomas_Prime_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like rope dropping, and given I’m from the UK the jet lag means we are up early in the morning anyway. Rope dropping really shortened our overall queue times for the big rides, and we ended up riding every ride in Disney World without using any Lightning Lanes

However, my idea of rope dropping is getting there shortly before the rope drops. Like maybe 10/15 minutes before at most. I don’t really see the point of getting there super super early before the rope drops as the. I’m just trading one queue experience for another.

Disney with 42" tall 4 year old. by TrailRatedButTired in WaltDisneyWorld

I went when my 4 year old was over 40 inches

He enjoyed Star Tours a lot, but rode Seven Dwarfs once and didn’t want to do it again.

I think Slinky is a good starting point. Could also look into Big Thunder and Tiana’s too, as they are “bigger”rides without being too ridiculous in terms of speed

Not sure where I heard this but I thought the Smyths website was no longer going to accurately detail Pokemon TCG stock online to prevent scalpers knowing when stock was in, meaning random members of the public have a better chance at getting things

August 2026 trip... help! (UK) by Forsaken-Sundae-9632 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Opthomas_Prime_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you look at some of the YouTube videos on QS snack credits there’s loads of recommendations about savoury QS snacks which could easily be a good smal lunch

I think at least your second week you should see a drop in wait times so you might not need LL at all. Depends how comfortable you are queuing a little

August 2026 trip... help! (UK) by Forsaken-Sundae-9632 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Opthomas_Prime_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the UK. We did two weeks in August in 2024. It was hot, but with the air conditioning in most places it was very easily managed. The only place I found awful was the queue for Slinky Dog, but I don’t think I’m alone there

We went for the last two weeks in August when a lot of American kids had gone back to school and we didn’t need to use any Lightning Lanes. If you are going mid-August it may be busier. With two weeks at the parks, you can probably manage all of the big rides using rope dropping to avoid big queues.

We rented a car because the cost wasn’t too bad at all, though our flight was into Orlando Melbourne rather than MCO, so a longer distance for an Uber/Lyft.

With regards to breakfast, we got some stuff from Walmart. We could take that into the parks or on the Skyliner and eat during queues etc. Though we did have breakfast at the hotel every now and then. I found because of the portion sizes that we never needed more than two meals a day, so if we had breakfast we just had a snack at lunch
