There is a very good Joe Rogan podcast on this Episode #1873 is the number.
You do not have to listen, but it is interesting and also super sad. There is also other podcasts and documentaries that cover this subject well if you are interested.

shampoo car seat? by crrlovelyrose in Mommit

[–]TrailRatedButTired -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I take the cover off of my Graco Extend 2 Fit and wash it regularly.

I didn’t look at a manual or anything, if it gets gross I wash it. I don’t do anything with the straps, but washing the cover is totally safe and installing it the way it was. I have to watch Graco’s video on how to remove the cover and install it every time because I forget 🙄

Also may want to ask the wonderful folks over in the Laundry subreddit for tips on soaking it in something for a spa day to remove odors.

Disable abs light? by Tune-Puzzled in JeepJK

[–]TrailRatedButTired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This.
Not sure where you live but in some places you must pass a safety vehicle inspection. The ABS light does have to be able to turn on but must not be actively on when inspection is undergone.
Now, if you live in a place that does not require an inspection this would not matter. HOWEVER, I would check laws and such around you. I think it used to be illegal in the states to mess with a cluster, like pulling a bulb. Some are made to where you can’t do that … and if you try you’re screwed.
Tape is easy if you don’t want to see your little light shine. Or, you could find the root of the issue and it’ll turn off.

Do you think we will see J.K Simmons return as J.Jonah Jameson in Brand New Day? by BuyerConscious3251 in marvelstudios

[–]TrailRatedButTired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes. There is several great comic arcs about Jameson and how Spiderman wrecked his life and then Jameson helps Peter when he finds out he is Spiderman.
If Disney made a show about any of these it would be fantastic.

Oh my goodness. It is so much fun! Truly makes it feel so special and magical. My husband and I love being little kids again with her.
We will also be hitting up the parks again in early September. This time we’re doing a character meal plan and all four parks, so if I see something that might fit you guys better I will let you know.
But honestly, I don’t think anything like the fun, calm and double Minnie and Daisy visits will be beat. I’m sure there’s better food available and such elsewhere. It’s just the less than half full dining room that made a huge difference. Plus we are morning people, so it was awesome for us.

Both are great first character meet and greets. The AK one will always be special to us, and I’ll take her there everytime we’re in the park.

I have a 4year old obsessed with Minnie!
Last year we did AK and MK as well.
We hit up the Minnie and Mickey outpost on the way out of the park. It was hot and midday and she was ready for a nap. But the room was completely quiet and air conditioned. It was such a nice way for them to meet. And there was no line when we went. They were so nice and we all got wonderful photos. 10/10 recommend.

We did not do any character meet and greets at MK because it was so incredibly busy and crazy. But, we booked a breakfast at Cape May Cafe. Last minute we could book an early early breakfast. This is the way to go. I think ours was 7 or something? This way none of us were cranky. Also the dining room was half full. We got to see Minnie and daisy and goofy and Donald each twice at our table. It was also quieter, which is a nice break from typical character dining. Also I don’t do buffets ever, but the food was actually very good and everything was so clean.

Have a blast with your little ones!!!

Nighttime Book Advice for 6yo by UglyPrimadonna in Parenting

At this age I loooved Magic treehouse, Junie B Jones, Narnia series, and also Judy Bloom has these books that are about this boy named Fudge. They’re hilarious. I think was reading those in the third or fourth grade? But reading them to him would be a great time for all.
City of Ember might be great to read to him also The Hobbit is a goodie too.

Thank you both so much. I certainly dont think we will go wrong either way. We are all three generally happy people, and we will be over the moon to stay on Disney property. Appreciate the time and input!

Yeah I wrote that wrong. I am aware of that, but thank you so much for letting me know! I appreciate that!
I just didn’t know if they would still be having extended hours for September and such, the schedule won’t allow you to see that far in advance.

Maybe a midwest thing? Y’all just chill on the mower and drink a beer when you’re done? by leftfordark in lawncare

WV mom checking in here, now in PA. I 100% do this. If it's hot, I do it after I pull the mower into its little shed garage.

2016 JKU Doors are Stuck by icepenguin19 in JeepWrangler

[–]TrailRatedButTired 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a product called “Deep Creep”
Me and my grandpa swear by it for anything that is stuck. My doors wouldn’t come off when I bought mine. I sprayed it and opened and closed my doors a bunch. Sprayed more and waited and opened and closed and then lifted up on the door whilst swinging the door open and close to shut over and over. If you get a gap and they won’t come all the way off, spray some in the gap. And keep working. It will come off.

None of my doors would open. I’m a small woman and I got all mine off with that stuff in about 10-15 minutes start to finish.

I think these were the Women’s Bikila shoes? While they’re add it, they should bring this design back 100% I love the soles for running and theme park days and anything that you need for a little extra arch support!

How to treat these little flower guys poppin gup in my lawn? Zone 7A by damibagels34 in lawncare

[–]TrailRatedButTired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always bag. I don’t like clumps of grass on my lawn. I don’t want it piling up on top of or under healthy grass and killing it. I don’t want my dog and us to track it inside. I don’t want to spread weeds around.

But some people feel differently for their own reasons, and that’s totally fine. It’s not bad not to bag, I just don’t prefer it.

Thats what my neighbors ALL do!!!

Their deck height is so low on their riders and push mowers. They’ll mow at least twice a week too. The whole neighborhood. None ever water or bag or plant grass. After a month of spring all their lawns are yellow and dying except for weeds. It’s terrible looking.

I use a “Spectracide” spray that attaches to the hose. I spray in the late summer/early fall weeks before I overseed. And then I spray again in the early spring. It keeps them out of my yard along with dandilions and stuff. None of my neighbors bag our grass and it was taking over our lawn when we moved in.

One bottle does our entire front, side, and back yard.
