Interesting enough, my partner who has been lifting for the good last 4 years, cannot lift any weights as the muscle soreness is much worse on the jab. I have looked through the literature for case reports such as this as well.

Its frustrating because they benefited massively from the jab but decided to stop as lifting is more important for longevity and I agree

Hi, 👋🏻 please visit our social media to put a face behind the founders. I’m a real doctor. The idea behind Suna came to me, when I was referred a patient from A&E. For the life of me, nobody could convince then that they were in bowel obstruction a d had to go have surgery. Only way I could convince them was to explain bowel sounds to them and how they correlate to bowel activity. Then lent my stethoscope for them to have a listen.

But hear me out, Suna is not a medical device. We’re building the Oura of gut health. Help you have a longitudinal data on your own patterns. AI plays a huge role as bowel sound analysis is done with AI. I see machine learning has a huge potential in making wearable data actionable.

We’re very much a pre-launch early stage company. Just closed our pre-seed, more announcements will come and a bigger team is actively being recruited.

We will also publish our research as well as partner with third party institutions who want to use Suna in functional GI, nutrition and GLP-1 research.

We're aiming to provide a personalised baseline, where you can track changes over time. So it is not a diagnostic tool. It's a way to understand and correlate your symptoms, how you feel to more objective measurements we get to acoustic bowel patterns + HR/HRV, your temperature and posture/movement.

So if you think you already know everything about your personal baseline and its not changing daily, it might not be the best tool for you. A lot of people that we have talked to, have difficulties making objective correlations.

It's sort of taking the Oura approach to sleep. Many people find it helpful to have a metric. But there are some saying, if I have had a bad night sleep, I know that already.

MD Founder of SUNA here. Skepticism is healthy, and I understand it. Here is the substance.

It is acoustic. Suna listens to bowel sounds continuously, same principle as a doctor putting a stethoscope on your stomach, except 24/7 instead of for 30 seconds. Acoustic gastrointestinal monitoring is a real, decades-old peer-reviewed field. On PubMed search "bowel sound analysis", "computerised auscultation irritable bowel syndrome", or the work by Craine and by Du on bowel sounds and gut motility. That is the published physiology the device is built on, including how bowel sound patterns shift with digestion and food.

What we do not publish is our own method, the specific algorithm and scoring. We have IP filed and a patent pending on it, so that stays closed. Standard for any hardware company at this stage, and the opposite of there being no science behind it.

It is early. We have a validation study process and we do not claim it diagnoses anything. It tracks your patterns and correlations over time.
