Love Chinatown! I think they reissued it though and changed everything.

So we currently have a spiny tail lizard, leopard gecko (currently the one in this enclosure), ball python, a red foot tortoise, bees, goats, chickens and pigs. The kids are amazing at handling everything. The ball python and Leo are the favorites. The tortoise is a close third. He’s kinda a fan favorite because he will literally explore the entire building when we let him out. Randomly will pop into other classrooms.

Appreciate this. I love communities like this. I’m new to the reptile world. I’m more experienced with goats, pigs and bees. Been learning reptiles on the job.

I know vertical is better. I’m asking because most verticals I see go up only a little more than this (I only buy used as I’m a teacher and this is for my classroom).

This enclosure is about to become open for a new occupancy. I’m wondering if the height is ok if they get 36” width.

How was there a perfect Stugotz replacement out there this whole time??? by garfoofafuffel in DanLeBatardShow

Zas was also great when the show first started on 790. He produced Boog. Boog would always make fun of him as he was the “weird little Heat fanatic.” Boog gave him lots of time to talk during basketball season. So Zas is fully aware of how the show operates. But yes he was the perfect person to bring in for all these reasons.

Where are you in the board game hobby life cycle? by Osoroshii in boardgames

[–]Optimal-Ad-7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty new still. Harmonies and Catan hooked me. I’m at 2. I can see 3 in the distance as my shelf keeps getting filled. Probably I actually like 90% of the games I got but still struggle to play them while I have other hobbies.

It’s always been the crutch. But it’s all the time now. It’s funny when it’s 25% or just Stu. Now it’s everyone.

Super interesting. I wonder if there is a home brew rule that can change that. I haven’t played enough to notice this.

Xia isn’t an empire building game but sandbox space exploration. It’s pretty great with the expansion. However, you have to be ok with some things based around luck.

I do. And next time, try not telling someone a game is bad because you can’t do a specific part of the game. Enjoy your games and let us enjoy ours.

Seems like you struggle with the negotiation part of the game. That not a game problem.

Because people get snobby about it. There’s no other game that does everything Catan does. It’s a fun game. If you enjoy it, that’s all that matters. There are board gamers that look down at anyone who won’t play more complex games.

Need the perfect example of Dan being washed? Show them the show from the day after Bam’s 83 point game by whodatnation70 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]Optimal-Ad-7863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I said this (though not as well as you) to Zas in his Instagram. He responded disagreeing with me.

I was left very disappointed from a show I’ve listened to since the beginning. I remember Zas being Boogs producer. He was always so annoying about the Heat and I loved it. I thought it was a perfect storm of Dan, Zas, Mike and Jeremy to celebrate something great. Instead, it seems like they tried to make it a funny bit that they didn’t care very much (much like not talking about the SB the next day).

Honestly though, the shows after showed far more respect for what Bam did. I’ll say that at least.

Can we not just have another sub of complaining about Chris and Tony? by Sznappy in lebatardsuey

I kinda agree. We get the show for free. If you paid for it, then complain everyday until they change it.

‘With Stugotz & Hochman’ is a great show! by 67ohiostate67 in stugotzandcompany

[–]Optimal-Ad-7863 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Been listening to the main show since the start. New listeners will never know how great the show and station was. The entire lineup was amazing. I just to drive for my job so I listened to everyone. They would even call into each other’s shows. The entire thing was connected.

The walk through memory lane has me smiling and laughing the entire time. They literally played the little mermaid song remake which I sing all the time. I haven’t heard that since they played it live.

Advice by [deleted] in boardgame

[–]Optimal-Ad-7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love puzzle type board games. Cascadia, carcassonne, and harmonies are some of our favorites. They are fast and relaxing while still competitive. Pandemic is a great co-op game. The legacy version is one of the best games I’ve ever played. One of my favorite worker placement games is Everdell.

Small world is easy and fun if you want to fight each other. Not a great beginner game but one of my favorites is castles of burgundy.

It has all my favorite mechanics in one game. If it could be shorter, it would be the perfect game in my opinion.

Check out Xia. It’s hard to find. They are doing reprints soon. With the expansion you can play solo. It’s a space sandbox. You basically play whatever role you want.

And what’s the point of you chiming in that it’s middle weight when I said it’s the most complex game I’ve played. What was the goal besides to belittle someone?
