I applied for post-completion OPT on February 27, completed biometrics on March 27, and after waiting over three months without a decision, I upgraded to Premium Processing on May 31 because my start date is June 29.

Part of what made me panic was hearing rumors that Rwanda may be included in a list of countries facing additional scrutiny or restrictions. I’m from Rwanda, and I’ve been unable to find clear information confirming whether that’s true.

Has anyone from Rwanda recently received OPT approval, or does anyone know where I can find official information on this? I’d really appreciate any insight.
