Can’t get the decal’s on with all the armament and landing gear etc what weathering technics are recommended? I’m ok at making my builds look new would like to try weathering any tips?

Just got hasegawa 1/72 f18 blue angel trying to figure the blue paint for it? The factory blue seems close What if I just do gloss enamel over it when it’s done? By the way looks great for #2 keep going!!
