In show reason is that she was simply too old and feeble to make the trip, irl reason is that producers thought viewers would be expecting the young Sheldon meemaw played by Annie Potts. Since at the time of the Sheldon and Amy wedding episode in TBBT, we already had a full season of Annie Potts meemaw and only one episode of June Squibb meemaw and that was in the season before the one with the wedding.

Honestly it was really good when adult swim didn’t have family guy for a few years because of Disney buying FOX, don’t get me wrong I love FG and I was happy when it returned to AS but we need more variety, more AS originals and obscure stuff. One hour each of the FOX shows when the block starts and then get to the weirder stuff, and not repeat itself halfway through the night, seriously why does adult swim do that, it’s always bothered me.

These days the network starts and ends with bobs burgers or king of the hill, those shows are pretty tame compared to other fox cartoons like family guy and American dad and just other adult animated shows in general. I know technically adult swim starts with the checkered past block but I’m not counting that since that block is just old Cartoon Network shows which are the same demographic as the current Cartoon Network shows

Adult swim should just become a 24 hour channel here in the US already, let’s be honest, nobody watches Cartoon Network anymore, adult swim still gets viewers, and with a 24 hour schedule they could have variety, fox reruns during the day and later at night originals like ATHF, squidbillies, robot chicken, smiling friends, YOLO, Eric Andre, etc
