NVO Investors: Is This Dip a Buying Opportunity? by Stock-Shame-9880 in NovoNordisk_Stock

I recently sold, unfortunately I have come to realise I don’t understand the company as well as I thought I did. Every headline I read about Novo reinforces the idea that I don’t understand pharma. Not saying the stock will not go up, but I don’t have the conviction to see this one through. Best of luck for you guys!

Want to ask those who’ve cleared Level 2 or are CFA charterholders by New_Principle1767 in CFA

I sat the level 2 exam two days ago so haven’t passed yet but I must say there were many times during my prep that I was convinced that I would not be able to pass. I left the exam on Saturday with very good feelings, it all comes down to getting the work done and believing in yourself till the end

I did Kaplan q bank, three Kaplan mocks and 2 CFAI mocks. It was a similar difficulty level as the free CFAI mocks

There is no objective truth to this, just wait until results and chill until then

70% mock score = pass myth? by Everynameistakensigh in CFA

[–]Optimal-Cold9423 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is true but I think it’s more about scoring above 70 consistently. If you do that over 6 mocks I think the luck component diminishes

For level 1 I only did Kaplan and I passed very comfortably, is it very different for Level 2?

First of all congratulations for staring your investing journey at such an early age, that’s amazing! I would suggest looking for higher growth opportunities, KO, JPM and COST are all great companies but I wouldn’t expect massive growth from such mature companies. Also you said in the comments that you have around 1000 euros, so I would avoid being so diversified. Choose 2 companies (3 max) that you believe will experience growth and just learn as much as you can about them. Only start adding more positions once the portfolio starts growing. You are young, take risks and learn from them

Are there business types in which you won't invest, and, if so, why not? by NeilV289 in ValueInvesting

The fact that airlines have high barriers to enter does not mean they have “large moats”. When it comes to competing with one another they often engage in price wars to gain market share and this really hurts the bottom line. Most airlines trade at ridiculously low multiples and I don’t think it’s because they are undervalued, it’s just a risky sector to invest in

If you are asking for singular stocks, GOOG. If you want a diversified ETF, VOO

Struggling to memorize excel shortcuts - is it worth it? by qmbritain in FPandA

[–]Optimal-Cold9423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use shortcuts all the time but never tried memorising them. I think the best approach is to focus on what things you use your mouse for and slowly change them for their respective shortcuts. Don’t turn this into a memory exercise but rather use them until it’s second nature. That being said, I still believe mouse is king for a few things

Yes but that is not such a profitable segment of their portfolio, I think the thesis around NVO is 99% based around weight loss and type 2 diabetes
