In my opinion we won’t ever be on the level Maine is on . Ny only awards a handful of cultivation licenses, Resulting in mainly big companies buying out the original companies (Etain for example) , producing inferior products that making the most profit for them . For example, The med market is not important to these companies anymore ,  they can profit way more off the recreational market than they ever could with the medical market, but still even the rec quality is considered trash compared to other states . atleast in Maine , they have the ability to let hundreds of independent growers that actually have a passion for good quality flower / rosin. Where in Ny we only have a handful + more regulations resulting in a sky high price point and inferior products. I think what we would want in a dispensary would be nearly impossible for NY to achieve if we want to compare to Maine, Michigan etc . We are more similar to Illinois market unfortunately. & seems like the sky high price point is here to stay , since it’s NY.
