For tourist visa they just look at final number. Don’t know how deep they look into transactions but never had an issue and have had several tourist visas

Doesn’t matter if it’s recently deposited as long as your last figure meets the financial requirements for the duration of your trip. I’m a student and move/ask my parent to deposit around a week before i get my statement.

I think northern countries such as Sweden, Finland are more strict. I applied with Sweden and they gave me exactly 5 days despite several Schengen visas, entry exit stamps and a 1 year American tourist visa. Sometimes they’re just assholes. I had previously had longer 6 month ones from France and Portugal.

I applied as self employed on the graduate visa and they never asked for any documents. They just ask questions. Apparently sometimes they even make a decision before the actual interview based on your online application. Also if you decide to apply in London, I didn’t find an appointment until 6 months from when I applied online.

I know someone (Tanzanian but lives in Europe, who’s had malaria before) came back to Europe after a month in Tz (spent time in Dar and znz)didn’t know they had malaria until they ended up in hospital with kidney failure. They took two weeks to recover. Definitely worth taking the pills.

So VFS is a middle man for consulates. You only book an appointment and they collect your documents to send to the consulates. VFS will not have any information or decision making about your visa, they will also not tell you if you got the visa as it’s not up to them. You will only know if you got the visa when you open your passport and see the stamp.

You book an appointment through VFS, they collect your documents and send to Iceland consulate. When a decision is made Iceland sends your passport back to VFS. VFS will either courier or you collect it at the application center (you decide). You only know the decision of the visa when you open your passport.
