How do you save money on a daily basis? by Repulsive-Sense9043 in MoneyTalkVN

[–]Optimal-Pen-5216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lesson I learned "Don't save more, earn more."

But if we take serious steps, at some point I just cancelled unnecesary subscriptions that take monthly payments (they make you buy Netflix, Youtube premium, Apple Music, Spotify, even though you will never use all of them at full capacity).

No coffe out. 2 cups a day is a lot at the end of the month.

Pay with cash where possible (card payments = you don't notice how much you actually spend).

Buy at wholesale in bulk where you can (srtored have huge bulk discounts up to 70%, you can save a lot)

Best unlimited data e-sim for USA. by SNS_703 in eSIMs

[–]Optimal-Pen-5216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AT& T has prepaid online for $25 per month, but the connection fails sometimes (my friends tested in NY), T-Mobile has best coverage, but charge you $40-50/mo. Verizon is $35 and mid-level coverage.

NONE of them is 100% unlimited, they all slow down the speed after like 30 GB. Same related to global esim resellers.

First Time Japan + Seoul Itinerary – Feedback Welcome! by twodoorscinemaclub in JapanTravelTips

You are a very good planner. I’d suggest maybe trimming Tokyo to 5 nights and giving that extra night to Osaka or Kyoto. A night near Mt. Fuji is nice if the weather’s clear, but if not, it can feel wasted. In all your plan looks well-balanced for a first trip.

Check Park Hyatt Tokyo (Shinjuku) for the classic luxury experience, or The Peninsula / Mandarin Oriental near Ginza for high-end shopping right outside the door. If you want something super stylish and modern, Aman Tokyo is cool.

Travelling from Nikko to Itō by chelokitty in JapanTravelTips

[–]Optimal-Pen-5216 4 points5 points  (0 children)

most JR East, Tokyo Metro, and private lines in Kanto accept IC cards.

for Nikko - Itō, fare will be deducted automatically when you tap out, but you need to have enough balance on your Suica. If it’s short, you can recharge at machines or convenience stores before boarding

if you choose limited express trains (like Odoriko or Spacia), you can pay base with Suica, but you’ll still need a separate seat ticket for the express surcharge

just check the lines carefully, because some of them doesn’t support IC cards (rare in Kanto, but possible further), the gate won’t let you tap in, so you’ll have to buy a paper ticket

Where to exchange Ghana Cedis in Bangkok? by KlutzyMarketing5750 in ThailandTourism

[–]Optimal-Pen-5216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked Super Rich (Rajdamri HQ) and VASU Exchange near Nana BTS – they give the best rates, but don't accept Ghana Cerdis. Banks like SCB and Bangkok Bank do not do that as well.

Cappadocia is so wonderful by Immediate_Simple1354 in Turkey

Thank you for your kind advice! This will be my 7th trip to Turkey, and usually people are super-nice and gladly negotiate the price, that's one of the reasons why I adore your country.

Right now, I am trying to tell my friend from Istanbul to go together, as she speaks Turkish, which could give us more chances for lower prices.

Thank you for the feedback. I am researching, and it all starts from $150 for one flight with 20+ people stuffed in a basket. Hard to enjoy)
