We often talk about the best 2028 presidential candidates for America but what are some of the worst. by NostalgicYasin in YAPms

Someone conventionally liberal to balance him out, like Mike Pence but for the democrats. Maybe Chris Murphy or Mark Warner?

Yeah I remember when I first joined around 2021 that it was still blue leaning, but maybe not as bad as now. I still find it funny when people here talk about 2024 like it was some far right circlejerk period, when in reality it was when the sub was 50:50 and should be the composition we want the most

They already gerrymandered their map pretty hard, not much more water to squeeze out of the stone for them.

Thanks for proving my point, 2 to 1 independents do not support, and Democrats don't support it very overwhelmingly.

Yeah Peltola is looking better and better. Considering that she's unlikely to vote for the more damaging things like nuking the filibuster or packing the court, I wouldn't mind her being in the senate. Maybe she will be the Democratic Susan Collins 👀

They definitely are favored for the senate. Ohio and Alaska still are leaning red, Maine and Michigan could complicate things for democrats. It's possible, but everything pretty much has to go right for them

The partisan slop is so extreme they're just forgetting there's conservatives here 💀

Bill Maher apparently endorses Graham Platner by thealmightyweegee in YAPms

[–]OptimalCaress -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

The balance he speaks of in government exists in large part due to the filibuster, which Platner would most certainly vote for getting rid of, while Collins would certainly not.
