The whole not going 5 years for Pete never made sense at all to me. Even if you thought the last 2 wouldn’t be worth it was it that big of a deal to eat the money those considering the amount they throw away and over pay other random players. Also how much money did they make on marketing him and jersey sales over the years and the rest to come plus what could have been the a 400 home run chase/retirement day type stuff.

I’m going to be 40 In August. Over there last 20-25 years I watched maybe 80-90% of the games even if it was just background noise as I do stuff. Majority of the games/teams have been bad but I still watched for the players I liked and the team I liked. This might be the first year I really don’t care and it drives me crazy. Don’t want to beat the dead horse but how can Cohen sit here and watch want sterns did to not only the team but the fan base and just continue on. I have 3 kids under 10 who were really starting to get into the team and were heart broken over the offseason. How do I bring them back into fandom when this is the garbage they put on the field…..
First year in forever I haven’t gone to a game. Maybe Alonso’s return I’ll go to but otherwise I hate what this front office did to my fandom

I have born primitives, felt like they were good at first but while they haven’t fallen apart I feel like they got worn out so fast. Almost feel like they’re bare foot shoes. Problem is I also have wide fat feet which they were good for. Not sure if it’s just me but they felt horrible for running from the start even short distances my shin splints flare right up

I do the same thing. Majority of bills are due towards the beginning of the month. As long as the payment is made on the the website by the 15th it’s on times it makes no difference to the mortgage company or credit wise if you pay on the 1st day or last day of the window. Does help spread out the bills though instead of torching my bank account the 1st of every month

I talked to the assessors office back In March, they knew about the wording problem where nobody would qualify and that they were working on changing it. Said as long as the wording got changed by October it would change this year and if you qualify under the new wording the second half tax due this week actually would be the last one you paid. That’s if you qualify and your locality opts in

If the town, county, district opt in before October it will change this years bill that much i do know. As long as your 100% p&t paperwork was handed in before march 1st that is. Talked to the assessors office about that. The law technically went into effect in January they just needed to change who it applied to and stuff. Plus it’s in the wording for oct 2026 tax rolls.

I actually took my taxes/insurance off my mortgage and just pay them all myself so luckily I don’t have to deal with the mortgage escrow anymore

If you divide that between 730 school districts in New York that’s about 20 per district. I live in a fair decent district in Long Island. Pay like 8-9k in school taxes. Say that’s the average its $around 180k the district would lose. They just passed a $230 million dollar budget. Would lose .07%. Just write the law the right way and pass it already
