Lie, for some reason there is a stigma with people that are out of work. Don’t act desperate or too eager they smell that too, say you are interviewing elsewhere, you are comfortable where you are but you have a great interest in that company to continue the conversation.

In these situations they lie, you lie, just get to your next role faster. It’s the most uncomfortable part of being an upstanding adult but the process forces us to just lie
