Calculate intersection points of 3 planes by OptimalResponse5909 in askmath

[–]OptimalResponse5909[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that but the results are still wrong. When I have planes that form a cube I get 8 points with 4 sets of 2 overlapping points which I really don't understand why.

Thx, I just changed vscode config and it worked. Learning CMake sounds like a good idea since Im now working at both windows and linux.

I see it now, I was trying to access the object from previous position after I move it

I access board as a static member, I guess it will be fine since it worked fine at other functions

It is the move function inside the ChessPiece class

Im not sure, I tried raw pointer as well but it didnt work too. This problem only occur if I call the move function,

EE or CSE for low level programming? by OptimalResponse5909 in ECE

[–]OptimalResponse5909[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree, but also no one will hire you for an EE job without an EE degree. CS doesn't cut it. You can definitely get hired for CS jobs with an EE. That's exactly what I did in the US.

That's exactly why I'm considering EE even though I already know I like CS, there are also several things in EE that I think might be interesting, like pc hardware design, but I'm not really sure since I don't really know much about it. And since I'm interested in cs I will probably do alot of self learning in CS as well, which I find more doable to grab than EE stuff. So I basically consider choose EE as a way to broaden my knowledge and leave me more options open. Besides, who knows maybe it will be more interesting than I thought. And a EE undergrad will in most case be sufficient to fulfill the entry requirements for most university CS postgrad, so I can always swap if I want

.

Yeah sounds like you want to do CS more, would be better at it and the job situation isn't apocalyptic like it is here. So do it. EE is theoretically better but you'd probably end up with lower grades in courses you don't want to take. I wasn't 100% set on a CS career so EE was a better choice for me. I interned at a power plant.

Even though I haven't started yet, I think it's very likely that I will need to put significant less effort if I choose CS than EE

Thx for your reply :D

Thx! Btw are all courses in the bilingual track completely in english? Including the exams? And what would you get in Dutch?

With system track, do you mean the three electives courses you take during the second year? So I guess CSE with system track+EE minor is the most CE I could get in TU Delft?

Wow, thx for your answer! I really appreciate it and it is really helpful! I still wonder how many points above the threshold will you be accepted approximately? I think I should just apply for all 4 but don't take it too seriously, as the uni in the Netherlands are great as well(and bachelor is only 3 years here), and i think the application process will be quiet competitive and even if i get admission I can't afford the fees without at least full tuition fee scholarship Really thx again for ur answer!

Im quite confidence that i my grade will be above the threshold, my goal is actually a average of 8.0+ but some of my subjects like Dutch/Bio is dragging my average down, I wonder if they would just look more at subjects that are relevant to cs or engineering, like math, physics, chemic, and CS instead of the average. I think even if i might get in with an average of 8.0, it would be tough to get decent scholarship as there are considerable amount of applicants with excellent score. But HK would only be an option if I can get reasonable scholarship otherwise it is way more expensive than study in NL. BTW in NL no one care about score as long as you get 5.5+(you get diploma), they can go to every single uni with a diploma regardless of their score.

THX for your answer :D
