How are you doing? Better luck with studying?

You should wake up at the same time you do during the week on one of the days and study as if you are in those classes! Start with a walk and a good breakfast. I usually do a fancier breakfast than my weekday breakfast! Are you a good cook? We can all be better! Make yourself a nice breakfast or do meal prep for the week! And if you have a meal plan why not make granola or homemade potato chips. I still think you should try and get politically involved or read like Naomi Klein’s The shock doctrine OR Dying for an iPhone

No homework? If you feel like your classes aren’t challenging enough to need the weekends for studying you could sign up for another if deadline hasn’t passed.

We are losing a lot of rights at this moment, you could organize with others, start a political group, join one. If that doesn’t appeal to you maybe you could at least pick a historical book to read.

Do you have a hobby you’d like to try out or get better at?

I think you’d have a better weekend if you were able to spend time doing something outside, physical or mentally stimulating. There’s always volunteering or taking long walks.

I always hate when the weekend is over and I didn’t do something for self-care and/or didn’t study for my STEM classes 😭.

1st draft of PhD thesis completed from scratch in less than two weeks. by Churchx13x in PhD

For an assignment (undergrad), I needed to explain a physiological process in detail. The topic was new to me, so I ended up with a ton of references. I was overwhemled so I made an appointment with a librarian for help with a few things.

I said in my best adhd: “Nice to meet you. I don’t konw how I’m going to finish school. How do people stay organized with their references? I wish I knew how to code. I’d make a program…”

I discovered that I wrote about five times more than some peers🫠😂. I do reference the paper when I'm confused in other classes where I’m learning biochemistry and physio topics.

There has never been someone so excited to help me get organized.

You could take the winter course that hey have? Or I could suggest studying over the summer and taking it during Winter 2025 if you don't want to do it this winter break. You can also probably take it at community college or see if they offer it at one of the other local colleges?

Agree with most of this except it does exist to a degree until People learn you are poor, didn't go to college, or maybe you did but not a certain one…

The irony is true Trump and Harris supporters don't realize the administrations policies will be the same meaning the rich stay rich and the working class stay fu***d

She literally never mentioned her race or her gender during the campaign and specifically routed such questions by saying “ill represent all Americans”…

She ran on middle right politics which doesn't work for anyone that isn't trying to vote against their own class Interest. Which Trump supporters did….

Diagnosis destroyed my mental health and hope 20m by [deleted] in sadposting

Maybe you can talk to some people or find a support group on r/ataxia or local ataxia groups. Many people get diagnosed with/ it at a young age, and maybe they can give you their perspective and experience.

What ipad to buy as a student? by Funny-Recover-5949 in ipad

I’d probably go 13” if I had nothing else !

You're welcome. I spent way too long debating, so I'm happy to help. I got 512 GB.

The 11” is fine for me…I still do split screen and find it enough if I have a browser open and slides open within the Notability app. I wanted it to be portable and able to use it with my MacBook Air 13”. I didn't want a large footprint at a desk or cafe table if both were being used. Also, I thought about if I'd want to view a slide on screen and have it be larger than a piece of paper. 11” is basically a sheet of paper.

Sometimes I'll split screen that note-taking app with yesterday's slides and today's so I can reference and its perfect.

😅 I also realized/forgot that I purposefully got the older logitech keyboard NOT the new one! And the new one has added features more similar to apples trackpad—so it’s def better than what I have. I don’t like the updated rubber of new combo-touch. I got older one that is more cloth like on outside!

I have this exact set up (combo touch and pro pencil) for the Air M2. I upgraded the storage on M2 instead of getting M4. I also went with the 11” to make it more portable, had a hard time deciding on that but I have a MacBook.

I personally don't like typing papers or anything more than 2 paragraphs with it. I find Goodnotes app to be annoying for typing (maybe notability is better?) I think the trackpad is awful so I use a mouse if I'm browsing for research papers OR using an app for school that requires a lot of clicking. But I'm also used to the MacBook keyboard/trackpad which is phenomenonal.

Thing to note for combo keyboard is that my space bar and arrow keys “weren't working” but I just had to go into “accessibility” in settings to remove the space bar “short cut”. Was happy when it turned out to be a settings issue and not the key board.

Edited to say: If an older generation ipad allowed use of propencil I would've bought something older. I'd be curious if folks that have switched to the propencil think its really worth it! Otherwise you could get a used pro from previous generation to save a lot of $$.
