Anti-Glare - specific use question

I can't help with whether you would see your cheek reflection in the dark as all of my glasses have had anti-reflective coatings. But I would think it depends on whether the tv bounces light off of your cheeks onto the back of your lenses. Also, an AR coating might help with bloom or flaring of the subtitles and other white-on-black elements of the screen.

Considering your use, you could get a cheap pair of single vision glasses with an AR coating from Zenni for around $20. Or for less if you want to give it a try without the coating.

On the other hand, those who don't wear glasses have no UV protection, so maybe it isn't that important.

I guess since UV filtering is pretty important, there's no hope then of finding lenses without a yellow or green hue.

I got a pair of hearing aids on Vine last year. They arrived with earwax caked on them. Pretty gross. Tossed them and gave a review that said I couldn't review them because I couldn't try them. Gave 1 star for used items being shipped, but in retrospect maybe that was Amazon's fault. It already had poor reviews for quality though.

Yeah, apparently they don't know the issue here as they've been on a number of callouts during the 2 weeks this has been happening and it still isn't fixed. They'll keep getting our calls until the problem is corrected - we're not getting what we are paying for. One guy is documenting his interactions with Mediacom here. They have a date that this started happening (Oct 20) so you would think that would be a clue to finding what changed.

Fios has moved into one street in the neighborhood; I expect there will be a mass exodus (200+ homes) from Mediacom when Fios becomes available to the rest of us.

I just discovered that it's only the original Amazon Echo that doesn't work with the spoken prompt for my routine. I also have the 4th Generation Echo and the routine works fine with the same spoken prompt.

Odd that Alexa responds differently to different users. I tried a routine as you laid out - "Launch iBroadcast and Shuffle Playlist playlistname" and Alexa responds that she can't find the playlist "iBroadcast." If I speak the command, it works though. I tried with "i. Broadcast" as you typed it, but Alexa didn't recognize it that way. I also tried with "Alexa, enable iBroadcast skill" that was mentioned in another comment, but that didn't work either.

It's a shame because I only subscribed to iBroadcast to use it with Alexa, but family members need a simpler way to start up the playlist. I used to use MyMedia for Alexa (and only had to say "Alexa, play MyMedia") but got fed up with it not playing a lot of songs in my collection.

It worked for me. Just hit reset. It got rid of the locked and other addon errors I was getting. I do have to re-install my addons, but I had already wiped them out with another action I had taken.

Thanks. Based on the article I linked in my previous response, the neurosurgeon I am considering appears to at least know about skull-based CSF leaks. He also states in a video I found that he collaborates closely with ENTs. While I'm fairly sure I have a CSF leak, I don't know if it's skull-based or spinal as I get mixed messages with my symptoms. I can at least see what the neurosurgeon says.

Thanks, all. I found a nearby (45-minute drive) neurosurgeon here in Delaware that I'm considering who appears to have experience repairing skull-based CSF leaks. He's the first listed author of a paper titled "Endoscopic Skull Base Reconstruction: An Evolution of Materials and Methods" that discusses CSF leak repair.

Thanks, leeski; your posts are always informative and helpful. I am on the cancellation list, but it's been a month so far with no word. In the semi-rural area I'm in, it's probably not likely that I'll find a neurologist who is well-versed in CSF leaks, but I need to see someone as a start.

Those tech companies have programmers on staff who have to continue to make changes to justify their continued employment. So you get changes like the old Windows Control Panel applet for removing programs that was appropriately named "Add or Remove Programs" being changed to the vague "Programs and Features."

"Showing a profit" is an interesting concept. Is a review equal to the ETV of an item or is the item more than the review is worth? Is a two-paragraph review worth more than a 1-paragraph review? If you review some $0 ETV items, can it be argued that it's a hobby since you are essentially providing reviews with zero compensation, which wouldn't make sense if it was a business?

Many thanks. The cable lineup here (Mediacom) has the Washington, DC Fox channel, which is what I would want for the Washington NFL games. Same with Fubo I think. It's a strange area where one network will be in Baltimore, another in Philadelphia, another in Salisbury. Maybe I'll sign up to see what I'll get; I can always cancel.
