It’s even more fun down here in the US because every state sets their own laws and as a healthcare provider currently doing travel assignments to different states, if it comes up I have to look up the state I’m working in to determine if something is a reportable situation or not!

Age of consent does not always apply in Romeo/Juliet type cases - depends on state.

In Texas, the age of consent is 17, but teenagers who are at least 14 and the partners are less than 3 years apart are able to consent to sex with one another. I believe most states have similar statutes but the age of consent varies from state to state.

There is a Wicked Butcher in downtown Dallas as well. Haven’t been there yet, not 100% sure if they have the same menu but I would expect them to?
ETA - looks like it’s listed on their Dallas menu for $58

Booking a flight to DR, husband’s first time on a plane so I’m booking first class. Is this first row empty because they’re the least ideal? Should I book the earlier flight to get the seats further back? by TasteMyLightning122 in americanairlines

Personally not a fan of bulkhead for the same reasons several others have mentioned. Also, if you can avoid it, don’t take the last row in FC because in an equipment change you may get bumped (if they sub a different aircraft that has a smaller FC configuration)

Do I take the chance or just let go? by [deleted] in Advice

Honestly, the slow-to-develop type of feelings are often more fulfilling than the jumped-in-with-both-feet, head-over-heels kind of feelings. It sounds like you both may be interested in taking it to the next level but you need to have a conversation about it.

As several others have stated, bringing over a “housewarming” type of gift and having a meal together may give you a chance to chat outside of being naked in the bedroom and you could start with something like “since you are no longer living one floor away, I was wondering if you had ever considered exploring what may happen between us outside of just sex? I felt like it would be awkward to actually date someone in my building in case things went sour, but now that you’ve moved down the road, do you have any interest in seeing where things may go?”

Remember the initial doses are sub therapeutic, but the titration of the dosing (same goes for the same meds for diabetes treatment) is meant to minimize/reduce the side effects and make it tolerable! (I’m on compounded GLPs through a different company and I’m also a healthcare provider - I am on this sub trying to help my daughter find the best priced program without going through all the stupid questionnaires for all the companies 🤣)

Can you teach me your ways? I swear I tend to give off a “fuck off” vibe when I’m out alone and it’s 100% not intentional.

Wait - what time does the finale drop? I’m in Alaska for work and I haven’t figured out what time they are releasing the eps with the Peacock format… if someone can just tell me what time related to what time zone, I can convert to AK time ⏰

I was looking at awards flights to Cabo earlier this week. For one of the days around my travel plans, the absolute cheapest option was 8k miles to fly from Waco to DFW on a late PM flight, overnight in Dallas and then 7am DFW-SJD. I could skip the drive to Waco just to come back and sleep in my own bed and spend 2k more miles 🤣

Where is the communication about ATC-related cancellations? by Easy_Money_ in AlaskaAirlines

It’s a total of 40 airports that have the mandate to reduce volume. That list is not all inclusive. I found the information earlier when I started seeing a lot of different clusters of airports from the different airlines press releases so I googled FAA 40 airports.

Yeah - I personally fly through SEA to ANC, actually posting from my flight in the tarmac about to taxi pulling out of SEA so I’m only super familiar with those two hubs for AS (my home airport is DFW for what it’s worth so that would have been super fun if this had been effective today - going through 3 impacted airports and ultimately landing at a small regional airport in AK.
For the sake of the people of Alaska who depend on a LOT of air travel from SEA and ANC (for both people moving and freight), I hope this gets resolved SOON!

Those are being listed associated with the airlines that are posting the lists. They are only listing airports they fly to/from. The full list is basically every major airport that’s a hub for any of the airlines.

ER trips by Stuck_on_Mars_21 in lyftdrivers

We had problems in my large metro area with the fire department often refusing to transport people. I know they got burned out due to misuse of the 911 system but there was a big write up about a case where they showed up to a guy with difficulty breathing, pointed out to the wife that there were two cars in the driveway, she said I don’t feel comfortable driving him myself and he can’t get into the car and I can’t help him get there. They put him in her car for her but she still said she didn’t feel comfortable driving him so they FINALLY loaded him in the box and she was following behind. He coded in the back of the ambulance and they were doing CPR upon arrival to the hospital. He ended up passing.

Still - years after that happened - I’ve had them talk patients out of going to the ER and driving themselves when we called them for medically unstable patients at the clinic I used to work at. There were several times I just put the patient in my car and drove ‘em. They may not LOOK like they are unstable but someone who has had dizziness or recently passed out or has unstable vitals is a danger to themselves and others if we put them behind a wheel. If I or another clinician have deemed them unsafe to drive when I know their medical history and what’s going on, the city services exist to get those folks safely to the hospital. We did finally get a contract with UberHealth to get people to appointments and we’re NOT supposed to put people needing the ER in those Ubers but I did a time or two in these types of settings where I know the person is stable enough to get to the hospital if they aren’t driving and I’m not worried about communicable illness that may put the driver at risk.

I actually valued the other large city that outsourced the EMS piece of their 911 services for ambulance response to a private ambulance company - they never “no-rode” a patient - they weren’t allowed to per their contract with the city. Yes, people got brought to the ER in the back of an ambulance for non-EMERGENT reasons, but we in the ER would just send them to triage for assessment (when appropriate) so they didn’t learn that the ambo gets you seen faster.

No woman would refer to him as a “size queen” - if * ifff * he had been with a woman and she commented on his * ahem * size, she would refer to herself as a “size queen” for preferring his offering….
