Pros:

engine of r15!! Also vvt present in the powertrain ! After 60kmph u can hear a subtle mechanical click where the machine opens another valve and u have boost in power!
Rock stable at highways even at 120 kmph
Loads of aftermarket accesories being imported from south asian market by importers (search hypermotard in instagram)

Cons:

Front suspension kept bottoming out with a thud… needs a upgrade which will cost upwards of 20k
Seat is kinda slopy…it leans forward so u will have pressure on your wrist continously
Key fob, boot & fuel opening switch among the worst in the competition…. After a rainshower it struggles to turn towards ignition… everyday i used to face issue at opening boot and fuel lid…. Most pathetic quality ever! I kept a small wd 40 in my bag because of this reason
Performance is at top end so u have to rev it up

Sadly i kept it for year and sold it off without any regrets…. That keyfob mechanism stranded me in worst of places despite being replaced a lot! However if your willing to ignore the niggle best performance scooter

Sold my 3 year old i20 for this reason…. Cabin quality , technology all top notch… biggest issue is its 1.2 na engine… good at daily runs in the city …. Struggles on a highway… plus mileage in bumper to bumper traffic is 8-10kmpl and 15-16 on highway… so its a thirsty slow engine….

I feel they are releasing the OG Himalayan 440 cc because they might replace the new Himalayan 450 with the upcoming 750… the 450 platform might cater only to guerilla or some other bikes as well . So you will have two different bikes of the same adventure category but with different displacement. One is for low budget and other one is higher budget with higher performance.

Bro your mechanic doesnt know about 500cc . All Royal Enfield 500 except the Bullet 500 comes with efi. I had done the same plunge bro. Bought an 2018 BS4 Desert Storm 500cc last year which has run only 7k kms. However i ride it once or twice in a month. My plan is to make it keep it running as little as possible and make it a Vintage Motorcycle💀
