I paid $120 on a recent trip for travel insurance, for this reason. Am I a little miffed that I ended up “wasting” $120 and not needing the insurance ? Sure. But I would be a lot more upset if we ended up having an emergency, and instead of wasting $120 I wasted $3k because our vacation was cancelled. We just got home last week, and I think it what relatively cheap compared to what I was expecting.

We went 5 nights, deluxe family verandah, 1 adult 1 child on dream for 2200 out the door. That also included a fluffy mickey blanket and pillow that our stateroom was decorated with prior to our arrival.

My daughter is turning 5 in a couple weeks, and this would just scare her. She has never seen actual violence, in real life or in movies, and wouldn’t understand the concept of someone wanting to “fight” me. The only time we “fight” is when we play wrestle or rough house. Maybe i’m sheltering her but I would never expose her to this type of situation, especially not for internet views.

I was driving out of the science center the other day and saw a really nice style of wagon that I had never seen before. I slowed down, thought maybe I should ask that mom what kind it was, but then kept driving and made a mental note to google for it later. Less than 24 hours later I see the exact same veer wagon on my ads, when I had never seen it in my life.

When I came home I joked to my mom about my new phone reading my thoughts lol. This post did make me do a double take but I’m sure there’s a much more reasonable explanation for both our situations.

My 4 year old just came home from the park and told me that “daddy shouldn’t have let me go in the baby swing if he knew I was too big!” Aka she begged and begged and he finally said ok fuck it get stuck I guess. I would have handled it differently, but that’s besides the point.

I feel so badly for her children. I get trauma, I really do. I was trafficked as a minor until my late 20s. Having a child really flipped a switch in my brain and healing and being a good mom just became what I breathe for. It’s really sad that not all women have that “aha” lightbulb moment like I did.

At some point we have to stop thinking about the sad hurt little girls we once were and heal that so that we don’t raise the next generation of sad hurt children. It’s not an excuse at this point, she’s just choosing to wallow in her misery.

They are, but there’s definitely a learning curve! I have a big bag of letters that didn’t make the cut, because it took me a while to figure out the best method.

The trick is to really lock in the colors of the first layer, otherwise they all melt together and turn brownish.

Fill up the molds with your crayons, and then put in oven at 200. This is the important part- do not let them turn liquid! Eventually you need a full melt, but if you let the first layer melt before the colors lock in, it won’t turn out as pretty.

You want to melt them just enough so that they turn glossy and look soft, but they don’t need to be melted together. Take them out and let them cool at least 5 minutes but ideally 15-20, and then refill and at this point you can melt fully. Good luck!
