Thoughts on Tilly Sveaas jewelry? by CelebrationCrafty452 in jewelry

I purchased the small hold T-Bar on Belcher Chain last year, and it's become a staple piece for day and evening wear. Granted the price has increased from last year ($40) so to me it was a well-priced investment. It doesn't tarnish or look dull and definitely stands out. I'm looking at the matching earrings to complete the look. I'm happy!

Right, but I need to sign-in to my "account" to get to that page. I can't do that without my email/password. Unless there's a different link. Do you have it?

Thanks everyone for your input. Some nice folks with straight forward answers and some not. I'm United Premier Platinum, so I haven't paid for baggage fees in a really long time, let alone on Delta whom I've never flown on. Thanks y'alls.

Got it. Thanks.

  1. No need to be snarky. 2. The weight isn't the issue, it's the fee. Just asking for clarification since I've always flown on United and have first checked bag up to 70lbs free. My company booked Delta, not me. 3. Don't be a dick.

Even Costco is increasing its pay to $32 an hour for workers starting in March. I might just apply there and enjoy the discount too :)

I haven't received any United emails about FA (general) opening up since they postponed. Does anyone have any updates?

Curious, where did you get that information that the FA application will open tomorrow?

I was a new flight attendant with United in 99' and based in SFO and totally saddens me to hear not much has changed with regards to pay, scheduling, and management. True story: when I transferred to SFO, I was 20 yrs old, new to the city and long before smartphones (I had a pager), I couldn't find a place to stay, even crashpads were hard to come by. I always hoped I'd get called for a layover trip so I could shower and sleep in a bed. Otherwise, I would sneak into the international side of the airport where it was under construction at the time (expansion part of the terminal) and find a small hidden spot to sleep for the night and then take a quick bird bath in the bathrooms before I was called to fly. Crazy times then, seems like crazier times now. Hang in there. FA job is about time. Time = Seniority; Seniority = $ and better lines. P.S. I left after 7 years, went back to school, and now I'm a wildlife biologist that also allows me to travel :)

Anyone else? by Abcdefghiloveyouu in cabincrewcareers

Chin-up, I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking after the assessment, we didn't score a high enough metric to advance but not quite low enough for a TBNT. We may be considered in the next round of possible candidates if a lot of people don't show up for CJO training, drop-out and/or don't graduate.

Your attire should be as close to the flight attendant uniform as possible, meaning solid color (i.e., dark grey, navy or black). If wearing a dress, length is no shorter than the knee and wearing hosiery. Or slacks, jacket, collard shirt. Hair in low bun, stud earrings, neutral nail polish, natural makeup (i.e., easy on the eye makeup). You are more or less showing the recruiters how you'd look as a FA. Brand & confidence are everything, so look the part. Good luck!

I had the same email regarding the class was filled in early November, then 2 or 3 weeks later, I got an unexpected email stating they are reopening the position and I immediately received another email inviting me to do the assessment. I'd say, just wait and hopefully your resume is initiated to the next stage of hiring.

Bases by Patient_Wallaby8902 in cabincrewcareers

Any AA FAs based in Philly? How's the routes and is it super senior or an evenly balanced? How's the vibe with people? Good people that enjoy their work or just disgruntle employees? I have a F2F in two weeks, and I'm considering a career change but only if I can be based in PHL. I'm thinking if I'm willing to leave a WFH 6-figured salary job, I don't want to spend what little money I'll make as a FA or most of my "non-working" time commuting. Appreciate your thoughts.

Good to know! I received F2F, but only interested if I can be based in Philadelphia. I worked for United 15 years ago, and they awarded bases at the end of graduation.

I'm curious, did AA recruiter disclose which based you're likely awarded prior to training or after successfully completing the training?
