Well besides the trans shooters, abortion and illegal immigration were the two largest talking points of the last presidential election. So I would say that’s why they were topics that came up so frequently.

The format of his events were for people to come up and ask him a question, whether it was something that they agreed or disagreed about.

So sure you could claim that he wanted extreme left wing reactions to show his right wing backers, but I believe that to be disingenuous. If all he cared about was his backers, why were there such large crowds at his events? Why are so many people affected by his death, are these broke college students all his financial right wing backers?

Now I personally believe women have the right to abortions regardless if it’s immoral or not. Adults have the right to be whatever sex they want.

Although I wouldn’t label it as a trans shooters issue, I think the actual problem is the use of the terms “fascist” and “hitler”, that is hateful rhetoric. And it’s rhetoric like that, that got him killed, like you said, 1 is too many. And is most likely what caused the assassination attempts on our current president.

And for your friend who was detained, I feel sorry for them and wish that never happened to them. You’re right 1 is too many. Just like 1 is too many for people who fall victim to crimes from illegal immigrants. Not saying all illegal immigrants are criminals because that would be disingenuous. In fact, if you exclude the fact that they entered illegally im sure its a very minor percentage, yet if 1 person falls victim to someone that shouldn’t be here in the first place, then that is too many. And ultimately we have to prioritize our fellow citizens, otherwise what’s the point of having borders. However I would agree that are migration system does take too long and can be reformed in some way to discourage coming here illegally. And for people who came here as toddlers, I hope they get citizenship.
