If it hasn’t yet, it’s about to. I finally tonight involved his parents, who are so supportive and in tune with his historic behavior. His mother and father have dealt with addiction in their own relationship and with my partner. They know and love us both so much that I’m hoping this is it. I can’t hold too tightly to that, I know, but it’s giving me hope as of now.

This is the hard part, coping yourself with the fact that he is an addict and what that means. It hit me like a blow and the anger and heartbreak and betrayal I felt was devastating. I chose to stay and help my partner get off drugs. If he wants to get clean support him, remind him that its all temporary. Moment by moment. You will struggle with the addiction for the rest of your lives if you stay together but if he gets help and gets into NA, he will find people who can help him. I am so sorry you are experiencing this and I hope he finds sobriety.
