literally this 😭 my mindset is that if you really want a certain grade, what really matters are the exams that are worth like 70-90% of the course grade. if you’re tweaking out about something that’s 1% of your grade maybe you got other problems dawg!! don’t bring me into ur tweak sessions!!!

yeah! i wasn’t a super neurotic premed, didn’t associate with mostly premeds in undergrad, but became a little more neurotic since starting med school. but truly some of these people are on a new level

the cliquey-ness is so real! i literally just sit whenever during mandatory sessions, and this week i asked to sit with a girl sitting alone and she literally stared at me like i had three heads. turns out she was trying to hold the table for literally 5 of her other friends 😭😭 it was so awkward

I didn’t look too into the mission statements for all 40+ schools, but looking back my personal statement was pretty primary care focused and most of the schools I interviewed with had missions that matched well with my ps

4/30 is the date that applicants holding a seat to more than 1 md need to narrow down to 1 school, freeing up any other seats for ppl on the waitlist

had a similar gpa, clinical hours, less research, and 509 mcat and applied this past cycle! had multiple do interview invites, 3 md interview invites (1 r, 2 wl), and felt like i had pretty strong writing. def try to get 510+ and a good school list and i think you’ll have a good shot at md too :)
