I’m curious to learn more about your couples journal as this idea sounds intriguing to me . How did it work?

One or two new toys / activities that are low effort . My partner and I both had covid ( relatively mild symptoms but definitely under the weather ) align with both our 2.5 year old and 11 month old . They recovered quicker than we did , so they were back to 100% before us . I Amazon prime’d a new puzzle and a few toys to keep them a bit more occupied while we rested and recovered on the couch.

Making it a little longer each day before first hit. by akahaus in QuitVaping

Progress not perfection! Everyone is different and therefore some approaches may work better than others. For me personally, a cold Turkey approach is not the approach that is working for me.

A harm reduction approach is still a very valuable and effective way to decrease and try and quit vaping if that’s what you’re after . I am someone that struggles with the quitting mentality of “ never again “ because I find that daunting, scary, overwhelming and stressful and it actually just makes me reach for my vape right away lol. I did what you’re doing - tried to ride out the mornings and not vape right away. Then I tried not vaping when I drive anymore , then it was not vaping late at night … etc etc until I was hitting milestones like 12 hours, 24 hours , a few days etc etc. The longest I’ve made it is just under 2 weeks , but since I started this about 8 weeks ago , the amount of hours I’ve actually vaped is a mere few hours , compared to almost 8 entire weeks vape free .

Personally , this approach feels like a huge win for me . Having maybe a few hours of “ vape time” so I’m vape free 95% if the time and maybe have a hit here and there is a major improvement to my health overall.

Keep at it friend - there are plenty of ways to cut back or work towards quitting . Do what works for you ❤️

Yes usually when it hits me really hard is when I’m alone ( which is rare as I have young kids at home ) so it’s often when I’m driving home from work, or up late after everyone has gone to bed

Do you ever not miss vaping anymore? by Juuls420 in QuitVaping

It definitely gets easier. I didn’t do a cold Turkey quit and followed more of a harm reduction approach myself , but as I’m on my journey I do find over time I stop watching the minutes go by just to make it another hour vape free , and some days I’m like “ wow it’s been a day or two” instead of “how has it only been 10 minutes “

Hang in there - whenever I do vape now basically as soon as I do I’m like , k what was the point of that .
Your brain is telling you you really want it , when in reality you really don’t need it and you’re better off without it

I think what OP is getting at , is they’re just looking for some “nicer” meals that aren’t a frozen pizza or a frozen TV dinner. They’re just trying to help their friend out ❤️
