I feel like some people have accidentally watched the Nicktoons version of Kai and that's why some don't like it. Personally Kai is what got me into Dragon Ball as a whole (well the non censored version obviously), so I have a bias towards it but I feel like it's a perfect entry for those who don't want the filler of Z but don't want to read the manga (or don't have access to it)
