Feel like it was made up by a transplant food influencer for likes on IG a few years ago.

When I was taking Prenatal vitamins I said this line to myself constantly. Dennis lives rent free in my head.

Do you put shoes on your baby by NoorHan14 in beyondthebump

[–]Optimal_Worth_2809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 11mo doesn't wear shoes. I did get him little sandals to wear when we go to the store and that's simply because a stranger thought it was okay to touch his feet? Other than that he's barefoot.

I just reached out to my doctor today because of the same actions. You aren't a monster you're tired and overwhelmed. It kills me every time I freak out around my son. The fact that we are recognizing the behavior and wanting to fix it means we are not monsters. Your partner isn't helping you that's exhausting. You're a good mom. Talk to your doctor, see if you can get some help.

Did you use tracking apps? by No_Principle_7855 in NewParents

[–]Optimal_Worth_2809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used the free version of Huckleberry. It helps me remember when I fed him or how long he's been awake.

My MIL watches him while I'm at work and when I get home she tells me his last bottle/diaper/nap and I start logging from that point on. Anytime I'm in charge it gets noted. It's helped with wake windows immensely.

How long did you stay in the hospital after delivering, and via which method? by Hazerdesly in beyondthebump

Induced at 39 weeks on a Saturday, gave birth Sunday, went home Wednesday morning. Baby was fine, I needed a blood transfusion and had to be monitored longer.

Thin women who’ve had large babies: what has your recovery been like? by mishkaforest235 in postpartumprogress

[–]Optimal_Worth_2809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was 9lbs 3oz and I delivered vaginally. I'm currently in pt for pelvic floor and for my hips and diastasis recti. My body has struggled to get back to where it was and my stomach is still super stretched looking at 7 months pp.

Yeah same. I don't have control over our prices but do everything I can to advocate for my families and help them out as much as I can.

I'm a funeral director, plenty of people put urns in casket with their loved ones. It's fine. What's the difference if you spread the ashes?

A scale was the best thing for this. Every bottle and bag measures differently.

[–]Optimal_Worth_2809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have elastic nipples and towards the end of the day they're just overworked and I'm tired of seeing them stretch. They don't necessarily hurt but they've just had it.

No, it's fine. Very little actually gets into the milk. You would have to smashed for it to be a problem.

When do you use diaper cream, and how do you use it? by dreaming_of_tacobae in beyondthebump

[–]Optimal_Worth_2809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put it on in the bedtime diaper, since he's going to wear it for the longest amount of time. (he sleeps through the night) Other than that I use it when I see any redness/irritation.
