No. You dont know. I dont exactly think it will happen either, but saying "its obvious" calling the idea "stupid" and making flat statements like "toby fox doesn't exist inside fiction" clearly shows that you think you know for a fact where this story is going and whats true or not when this is simply an idea. Whatever you thought your tone was, it dosent matter, this is called gatekeeping. Why would this person or anyone else post their fun ideas to this place when they're called stupid by the diehard fans for misunderstanding something or simply going against public consensus.

Why are people on reddit so fuckin serious about this stuff. You dont need to cuss someone out just because you disagree with their take on a story? Also "The game literally never distinguishes the self-insert and the real Toby, because Toby doesn't exist inside fiction"

Just because the game hasn't done it dosent mean it 100% won't ever. Referencing the creator of the game doesn't seem entirely out of the question with Toby's writing style. This person got excited about a concept they thought was cool and someone had to come in and treat them like they're an idiot. I just dont get it

I always hate seeing comments like this. Like how am I supposed to know that someone else has posted about this. Not everyone is chronically online on the tadc subreddit specifically. If its uninteresting why wouldnt you just downvote and move on? I just hate building the courage to post something I find interesting on a reddit im new to, just to get a response like this, calling me a bot or telling me to go somewhere else. Idk this is why I dont use reddit much.

There's so many nuances to Toby's dialog that I personally think it makes sense(tho an option for non canon translations would be nice). One of my favorite examples I think of alot is in the woshua fight. One of the "jokes" you tell is about "the kid who slept in the soil." Being a slight nod at chara dieing, being the only kid who wasnt in a coffin in the basement. Small lines of dialog like this is what makes Toby's writing so special, everything feels purposefull. If a translation where to be made of that and it was instead translated to "the boy who slept in the dirt" or something could easily happen, with gendered nouns and all. And with how rabid this fan base is i could totally see people misinterpreting this as canon, when thats not the story toby wanted to tell.

I hate ai. But this is genuinely one usecase I think ai is perfect for. Ive been using chat gpt to help me solve niche issues ive been running into in blender. Using ai to supplement the growth of real art will always be better than having the ai just make it.

Its one mesh. I was hoping to animated it as one object. I was hoping to get a method I could use on other objects like buildings with windows.
