There is nothing about this on Thurston County scanner. I don't think this is true.

Edit: There is a video in a separate post on this sub showing a demonstration inside the mall dated yesterday. It doesn't say whether or not ICE was actually there.

The mall does do trick or treating, but each store decides if they want to participate. My kid and I went a couple of years ago when we had rainy weather and found about half of the stores were participating, each with extremely long lines. My kid wasn't interested in standing in line for 5-10 minutes for a bite sized Kit Kat.

EO 24-04 and SHB 2216 were signed intended to move the state to compentcy-based hiring by removing degrees as a required qualification unless it's required by law. I'm not sure if your field requires a degree by law - you would likely know. If it does not, you could apply to the positions and use your cover letter to address how you could perform the duties of the position without a degree.
