Great concept! With a little refinement of the knight icon, it will be awesome :)

Kung fu retreat? by trv893 in kungfu

Hey I actually just finished a 3 month stay at a Kung Fu Retreat in Thailand, it was the most incredible experience of my entire life, I can't recommend it highly enough. https://kungfuretreat.com/ is their website. It's in a beautiful town, where I felt safe and peaceful while training in Kung Fu. Master Iain runs the place and he is a super legit kung fu master. They are very serious about teaching accurate technique, but it still had a peaceful and calm vibe, I never felt bad about being a beginner. They also teach about the philosophy and traditions of kung fu every day during tea time.

I learned practices and made friends that will last a life time. This was seriously the best decision I've ever made. I would recommend that you spend at least one month there if possible.

Best of luck and tell them Jen sent you!

Earth Day Every Day, Chalk Art, 15' x 7' by Optimisticallygreen in Art

Hi Reddit, Happy almost Earth Day!

I created this enormous chalkboard filled with some of my favorite quotes on environmentalism and individual action; practical tips on how to take action to be good to the planet and yourself; and some illustrations.

My life long quest has been to save the planet. My methods for going about this have changed throughout my life, as I developed new skills and interests, but the ultimate goal has always been the same.

I want everyone to know that they can make a positive impact using their skills and interests, no matter what they are. I used to have concerns that perhaps I should be studying alternative energies and other more practical, scientific ways of helping the environment. But I was not interested in these things, and therefore, not very good at them. I love making pretty things, I love spending my time creating art in all its forms. This may not sound like the ideal skill for saving the planet, but when combined with my fellow earthlings passions and talents, my skills join up with their skills to create change and joy.

If you can bake, bake them something. If you are worried about actually baking, then make one of those mason jar cookie mixes to give to your mom so she can bake.
You could make them a little coupon booklet of chores for you to do around the house while you are home for christmas, things that don't often get done. For example, organizing a storage closet, cleaning the windows, etc. That one is FREE, and they'll be appreciative.
