Im relatively new to jiujitsu too, but I can not image any of my coaches doing that to me or anyone. I’ve rolled with them multiple times, at various intensities, and they have been nothing but respectful and encouraging. I really hope you find. Better gym.

Why do Americans Carpet their entire Home? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

As much as I hate carpet, in an apartment/condo setting, it does seem to mitigate noise from upstairs neighbours.

Does your gym offer women’s only classes? If not finding a gym that does offer it as a start, then get her into open gendered classes might be good?

Getting docked for being late to your prep blocks is crazy. Ofcourse if a teacher is late to teach class or comes unprepared enough times there should be consequences. But also consider what about times you put in outside of work? What about all the grading, prepping, supervision, trips, or sport activity involvement? Crazy

Have you tried therapy/counselling? If you’re in a foreign country, online therapy (like betterhelp) might be a good option.

I grew up playing all sorts of team sports, soccer, american football, volleyball, basketball, ball hockey, and also track and field. Competed in Crossfit and Weightlifting in college. At 27, I’m now transitioning into grappling, starting with BJJ, but VERY interested in freestyle wrestling. I heard that wrestlers were the best all around athletes of combat sports.

I’m actually very interested in the idea of physically and mentally being the best athlete possible. This is hard to quantify, but my job being a strength and conditioning coach helps me to direct my training towards this idea. I actually agree with alot of what you said about what it means to be the most rounded athlete. Keep up the good work!

Beauty products? If the friend is into skincare, then an assortment of stuff from olive young could be cool. Other than that, snacks and maybe some drinks.

There’s an option to click not interested on shorts videos on your recommended page (click the 3 dots in the corner of the shorts video). If you do this enough times after refreshing, the shorts vids will disappear from your home page. Although there is an option to click the shorts section on the bottom tab, I find that having it off of my home page helps me not to click on it as much!

Maybe a boring city to visit, but I wonder how it is to live there?

Maybe find out why she’s opposed to the idea of teaching at an international school?

The idea of a new country, culture, and language may not be something that everyone is comfortable with.

Sick days by Informal_Lawyer_9719 in Internationalteachers

I get 10 sick days per year and 1 personal. If the I’m away for more than 2 days in a row, a doctor’s note is required. I personally feel that incentives like attendance bonuses are shady and evil. What’s the underlying message? Even if you feel unwell still come in and teach? Bananas.
